Rurb Feelers---Remember?

CURB RASH:
When I was a kid, the big cars of the 50's sported wide, sparkling white, white walls. To keep them from scuffing against the curb when parking, metal wire curb feelers extended out about 6 inches and scraped and vibrated to warn you when you were getting close.
They'd be great to avoid curb rash to the Z's beautiful wheels.
I'm thinkin' about it...

Remember them? I still see cars with them. Most often lowriders.

I've managed to avoid rashing my rims by just paying attention. Not a bad idea for some people though, I guess.

His curb feelers OBVIOUSLY did not do an effective protection job.
