F these. I think curb rash looks good on my rims.

I'm always baffled at how many people curb their rims. Seems like every for sale thread for wheels always has curb rash. I'm sure I just jinxed myself but it's never happened to me in 14 years of driving. It's not like they're hard to spot.

I agree, but some of it depends on where you have to park.

yea...i dont know if you've ever been to california, but we have rediculous parking over here. parking spots are tiny (in order to squeeze as many spots into a parking lot as possible), and even driveways can curb your rims. the low profile sidewall on the my front right wheel was nicked when i parked (illegally..heh) in front of a driveway opening. the 1-2" raised concrete opening to the driveway just barely caught the rim and nicked it

and dont get me started on rolling curbs...

Lol I do, especially on them big land barges from the 70's to early 80's. I saw a White 75 Coupe Deville last week with curb finders at Target, it had the thinly stripped white walls, black vinly top. I was more concerned on what he is paying for gas....

That's them, alright. Although I have seen fancier ones. Curb FEELERS, as I recall, is the technically correct term.

I just pay attention. Knock on wood, so far I have 1,000 miles on my car with no curb-rash.

Buy tires with protective lips, err on the side of caution, you will be fine.
