2011 Nissan 370Z Touring First Test - Motor Trend
"Compared to our long-term 370Z Roadster, the coupe serves as the ideal long-distance tourer by virtues of side visibility, overall civility, and [U][B]
cabin quietness."

Cabin quietness??? That's a stretch but I guess everything is relative.

The 2011 model year also brings the 370Z Roadster's synthetic suede door and seat inserts to the coupe. The soft, cozy material gives the comfortable, attractive cabin a higher-quality feeling. Leather-wrapped electronically adjustable seats remain standard in the top-level Touring, and support your bum and back with firm cushioning.
This is actually wrong. My 2010 has this too. I thought 2009s did too?

I might have to upgrade to get that vicious LSD - I don't think my viscous one competes.

My 2009 has alcantara in the doors and the seats - it really is a pretty bad article.

Yeah, this writer didn't do his homework. Or he just listened to the dumb Nissan sales people who probably said that. It amazes me how car salesmen can know less about their cars than potential customers.

I know I'm happy no matter what they're review is. However, I think all the Z's should come with the Nismo brake pads.

That was actually an option, why didn't you get it?

I have the 40th. They weren't any options dude. I was just saying that I think it should've been a standard rather than an option.

I think Nismo pads come standard on the 40th.

I have Nismo pads on my fully loaded Touring.

They dust a little more, but the amount of heat they can withstand is absolutely amazing.

They tested a fully loaded coupe and talked about its MSRP.

I mean, beside the fact that you can get a fully loaded coupe for WELL under 42k, you can get a base no-frills Z for under 30k if you know how to deal.

But it is funny that 0-60 in under 5 and 1/4 mile in 13 is considered slow these days.

Yes, that's why everything has to be put in a relative scale. Heck, my wife's SUV did 13.8 when I was at the dragstrip. It feels way more powerful than my 370 even though it is slightly slower.

I don't even bother pondering car mag articles anymore. If this was a german mark. They would be so impressed with much less stats. Whenever the car names are Asian, they always nitpick small stuff. The only thing I can agree with is touring sticker shock. Not much is added for an extra 4k. I do agree on its base, sport and nav pricing.
