People are foaming at the mouth defending the Mustang and Camaro honor in the comments section.

hmmmm...Maybe they are hating because a 3.7 300hp Datsun is hanging in close to a 5.0 412hp Mustang and a 427hp Camaro SS? Oh well, I guess haters gotta hate. It's their job.

OMG, just read through the comments and someone linked to my 1/4 mile thread to prove a stock 370Z can run 12's. :excited:

The haters didn't believe it though.

The G37 IPL doesn't look too bad, and it comes with nice features. More power + weight + price... meh. I was close to trading in the 350Z for the G37, but was happy to back away from it. It was priced around $33k-35k at the time, which wasn't bad at all. The same with our Zs... it's approaching the 40k mark. O_o

40k if loaded... I got my base for well under 30 with the sport package even ;)

So Digi, btw, (sorry off topic), did you get your car fixed from that accident? I hope so... yours was one of the most beautiful set ups here.

I still don't believe it. I'll need to see some proof:rofl2:

I don't know guys but when I put my car in manual mode. I seem to reach prettyy high speeds in single digit times. I've driven the camaro several times and I gotta say, I don't feel a difference in quarter mile times. The seem to run about equal.
I'm sure past 120mph the camaro takes the Z but on the quarter side. The feel to close to distinguish one as being the faster...
What I do notice though is that sometimes the Z doesn't wanna boogey. You punch the gas and its like huhh??? Others, it punches so much power into the rear that the tail goes sideways from launch. The Z has its own personality... lol at least mine is like that.

I was going to as well, just to stir the pot but it ended up being too lazy haha. What a bunch of ignorant fools.

You know I thought I was crazy but I get that feeling too sometimes... Certain days I can stab the throttle and it takes a while before I can feel it move but then on other days I stab the throttle and I find myself screaming POWAH!!!! like Jeremy Clarkson haha. :rofl2:

I think that's because the ECU likes to adjust to your driving. I.e. if I'm driving through traffic for an hour on my morning commute and punch it all of a sudden, it seems kind of slow in response. During a spirited drive, if I do the same I get awesome responsiveness. It helps in saving fuel, but it does get annoying some times.

Although the Z is priced close to the GT and doesn't have the loads of low end grunt, I still like it... perhaps it's just Z loyalty (dad's Z32, then my Z33, and now my Z34). Either way, it's still a fun car to drive and mod if not the fastest.

Thank you for your concern. :tiphat: The shop realized they couldn't fix the aluminum hood, so they ordered a new one (yes!), so I probably won't get my car back until late this week. Once I get it back I'm going to quickly send it to the service to get Swift springs, rotors, pads, lines, and tires (275/35 & 305/30) installed. Afterwards, I'm going to get to the headlights and ship them out for mods. During the downtime, I'm going to try to install the INGS +1 kit from a year ago. So pictures once everything's complete :)
