I like my "Z" just the way it is. It has plenty of go and handling for the way I drive it. I also bought the "Z" because there aren't many around where I live. It is nice to have people checking my "Z" out because they don't know what kind of car it is. I am a newby to sports cars, so I am still leaning how to drive my "Z." I also get more comments on the color (positive of course) of my "Z" then anything else.

Exactly. What you're saying is that it's a great time but it's really more like this other slower time with the correction factored in.
Then we have to account for weight discrepancies in the car and heck, don't forget the weight of the driver! What octane fuel was in the car? Tank full or empty? You could go on forever finding discrepancies that need adjustment to simulate absolute equality.
Seriously, I'm not trying to argue with you. I understand the desire to use correction factors as an "equalizer". It's just that at the end of the day, it provides room for someone to say "but".

I think the article is written like a sales pitch press release rather than an honest review.
As far as cabin noise goes, I couldn't hear my tyres or pebbles in the wheel wells. Just a howling Fast Intentions cat-back as I ran up the mountain at WOT in 3rd gear before downshifting for a switchback. I don't think Dynamat would have helped.

If you don't see the issue with comparing corrected times to uncorrected times, there's not much point in having a conversation.

A touring sport manual is 3315lbs.

Mine must be special, a bone stock 370 base with sport MT with full fluids weight in at 3350 on the race scale.

My guess is the manufacturer publishes "dry" weights.

A full tank of gas will weigh about 114lbs.

curb weight is supposed to be full gas tank and full fluids with no passenger

No, the manufacturer is supposed to publish curb weight, which as posted before, is the weight of the car, it's fluids (including a full tank of gas), etc.

My Z06 was weighed by the LA DOTD and with 12 gallons of gas, it weighed 3180#.

1660# front, and 1700# rear.

Published weight by GM is 3175#.

It also has Lloyd floor-mats, which are legitimately heavy mats. I would say they added about 20# to my weight, because the Z06 does not come stock with a cargo mat, and that thing is big, and was heavy. The floormats had some heft to them as well.

With a full tank of gas in that configuration, it would have weighed 3216. Without the mats, I can EASILY see it cutting in under 3200#.

Being off by 20# is NOT! that bad for a factory spec. That is a margin of error of about 1%. This is the same as your 332bhp engine really being a 328.6bhp engine. Negligent.
