I just used the "syncro-match"

OMG OMG!! I have had my Nismo for 1 week and a day now. When I initially test drove it everytime I pressed the clutch the engine would rev and it was annoying, so I disabled S-mode.
Today I decided after doing some reading to see what the hype is all about. Again....OMG, OMG!! That is hella cool, the downshifts are super smooth. Before when coming to a complete stop, I would put it in neutral and coast or would select a lower gear that I knew the speed at the time could handle smoothly.
I heard some folks say the S-mode dumbs down the manual shifter or somehow the S-mode takes away from the shifting experience....that's a load of crap!!
Really cool innovation Nissan!!!

not as fast as a paddle-shift thread would.

OP, the reason you read negative comments about Syncro Rev Match is because not everyone has a Nismo. Your tranny comes with eagle mode.

Congratulations on your discovery. It is a very fun car to drive. You are getting extra "love" on this post because it has been discussed many times in other posts. Dont worry though. They are harmless and most of them very helpful when you need it. ;)
Enjoy your ride.
