Bruised tailbone :(
I've recently went to a physician for some pain around my tailbone, she noted that it was from extensive hard pats from the car. She said it was from me falling a lot ir something until she looked out her window and pointed at the car. I didn't want to believe it, but it did make sense. And yes, I took off the spacers. I took her around for a rode to see if it could be the source. When we got back she said to not drive it for awhile. :( anyone with this? Its so awkward sitting and walking, grr it hurts lol. Sleeping is also weird.

Driving in a Z with Nismo suspension bruised your tailbone?!? Really?
I agree it was prety stiff at first, but it softened up within a few hundred miles. Ouch! |
that's one of the reasons i'm selling my Z... Can't stand the ride anymore. But honestly I should have known it would be this way.
|
How old are you guys?
|
yea i really dont understand all the complaints about the Z's ride...coming from my 2000 hyundai elantra, the ride is like that of a maybach
|
1) your story is bogus
2) no doctor would ever go for a ride with you in the middle of their clinic 3) you should stop taking it up the butt |

On a more serious note: Have you tried playing with the lumbar support? Might make things more comfortable for you. Alternatively, see if you can pick up some progressive springs -- those are much softer in low speed driving and only get firmer under heavy load. OEM Nismos are not progressive -- thus same firmness at all speeds. |
Show us pics of the 700whp TT kit you said you had and promised pictures of. :stirthepot:

dude the suspension on the car, even nismo, is not that stiff. its stiff for stock suspension, but there's plenty of people with aftermarket springs and coilovers without a bruised tailbone. |
The only way you could bruise your tailbone in a NISMO is if you replaced the seats with bricks.
|
bruises are usually caused by blunt trauma. unless you're pulling a Dukes of Hazard with your Z, you're not going to get a bruised tailbone.

Could you give me a quick run down on what you have installed, I'm looking to go big or go home and 700whp sounds wicked...

I don't see why people complain about the ride in the z. To me it was just perfect but than again my last car was a maxima with a broken suspension.
|
You want a smooth ride? Get you one of these bad boyZ.....

My last 4 cars have been sports cars with sports suspension and I have never had issues. No way this is true. April Fools is next week.
|
I don't buy any of that, sorry. The Z is shockingly comfortable in terms of ride even with higher spring rate lowering springs, 19 inch wheels with stiff sidewall tires, and relatively firm seats. There is no way you bruised your tail bone sitting in any car during normal driving conditions, even with stiff coilovers or Nismo struts/springs.
|
I think we are the fools if we believe anything this kid says.
|
If anything, this looks like a convenient way to avoid proving the "700hp TT" setup is not in the realm of unicorns and wizards.....
|
Springs? We don't need no stinking springs.
Did he say extensive pokes to the backside? |

I can't believe this thread is still active.......
theres nothing wrong with the ride quality of the 370... is your day gig driving a log truck that might crack your tail bone |
if i had spent 25k to get my car to have 700rwhp, and everyone on my car forum didnt believe me, i'd have posted my pictures up by now.
|
I think the op went to jail and is making up an excuse.

Advice to the OP, if your tailbone gets bruised driving a Z, stay out of an EVO, you might brake your back.
BTW how did you go to school as a kid? Going to school on the school bus must have been very painfull.... |
