And most people wouldn't have used their blinker in that situation but I *always* use my blinker.

mplayer -vf eq2=2.8:1.0:-0.01 sprayer.mkv

will make it obvious I did infact use my blinker. I am amazed people would think its viewable with how dark the dash is in the video when u cant see any of the gauges at all which are also lit.

I don't like when people ***/U/ME.

Edit: Oh, and I also looked over my shoulder when I changed lanes as well... which I also always do.

And I guess I shouldn't lie. Obviously in an emergency situation I might not. I had a real shitty night a little while back. I think there was a lakers game or something as there were a lot more people on the road.

Here is that vid:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyiHM30SStA

Anyway even when I changed into the left lane because the asshat pulls out and just stops covering my lane I used my blinker (you can hear me hit the lever before changing lanes); however, I did not use it going back into the lane but this is rare. And yeah after that this guy just goes into my lane when turning left on the street.

Needless to say I was pretty pissed off by both of that ****. Luckily I didn't get stuck behind him for long as there was an opening for me to get passed. Needless to say I was pissed though.

this is my biggest complaint on the hwy. :gtfo2: of the left lane if you are going to drive any less than 70mph

there are 2 or 3 lanes, use those and when I come up behind you and politely flash my lights it means to get the F$%$K OVER.

Why do people not understand this. Its incredible

Vegitto-kun 03-18-2011 12:17 PM

lol do you guys do nothing but record yourself driving? :roflpuke2:

though I have to admit it would help during a discussion when a crash happens.

I bought a cheap HD camcorder and a camera mount. It really isn't THAT expensive and not only in the case of an accident I figured it could be useful in the case of a ticket where I am not in the wrong as well (IE: running a redlight as I never do that but I have heard some stories of how people have gotten BS tickets on that).

Considering I have over 100TB of space in all my drives I just dump all recordings everyday onto my computer unless I am really lazy and nothing eventful happened as its not like I am worried about the disk-space and then I can just wipe the recordings very easily as its all just on a SDHC card and easy to pop-out and insert into the reader on my comp when I get home.

I might clear out my recordings dir sometime as its a couple hundred GB now.

I look at windshield washer spray this way: if it was used to better the driver's vision, then it was used to allow said driver to drive safer. Much better than a semi running bobtail, leaking fluids and grease that hit your vehicle. Or the oil leaker that paints your vehicle with oil. The vehicle ahead of you with leaking brake cylinder seals (that will permanently damage your paint depending on the DOT). The muffler that is suspended with a coat hanger that falls off in front you (yes, that happened to me, and car just kept on driving). Weekend idiot movers who borrow their friend's truck, along with their idiot friends, and don't tie-down and cover the load.

FromG2Z 03-18-2011 12:58 PM

Interesting thread. IMO, if sprayer was used to clean the windshield as intended, then no harm done. If done on purpose, I'd probably swear under my breath, but that would be the end of it. Rock chips from cars/trucks ahead of me piss me off more as those are permanent chip damages to my car. (hence why I broke down and got a clear bra installed)

To the OP, that's intriguing that you video record your driving :) cool idea.

:iagree: The OP has some issues. As a professional, I recommend a combination of anger management and one-on-one sessions to help with this obvious pathology. Poor self-image – also obvious by his need to prove his manhood with reckless driving and child-like tit-for-tat – should also be noted.

The self-videotaping behaviors are also a most interesting manifestation of narcissism and perhaps a bit of overcompensation. Does he play them for himself later? For his girlfriend? His Mom?

These issues, however, are beyond the scope of this thread.

You certainly didn't offend me. To be honest intent doesn't mean a whole lot to me when someone does things just like ignorance doesn't either (as is the case with the law).

The only type of road 'retaliation' I have ever done is spraying back when I got sprayed and flashing people with high-beams (which is pretty rare). I have maybe done what I did in the video on 3 other occurrences.

Rather than flash honk or do anything else it makes the most sense to me to do it back to them so if they are ignorant they will get the message that they are spraying **** on people driving behind them and will stop doing it. There is almost never a good excuse for doing it randomly like that as it probably could have been done *before* getting on the freeway or when someone is far enough behind you that it wont hit them (they have to be pretty far away).

I would honestly be surprised if it does not bother someone at all when this happens to them. Yes many will do nothing about it but at least I can say that person who I sprayed back certainly wasn't ignorant about what they did at least from that point on. Whether or not they keep doing it is anyone's guess.

I just hate it when people drive in a way that pays no attention to the consequences of other people on the road. Another example that was given is driving slowly in the fast lane (maybe these people would argue they are doing the speed limit? i duno?). Another one is people who are in the right most lane and stop at a stoplight and the lane has enough room for two cars but they stop in the middle of the lane so people can't turn right and have to wait through the light.

And of course there are the people that seem to have no idea that cleaning their windshield while driving at freeway speeds sprays a bunch of crap on the person that is behind them.

Back when I was in HS I had an auto crafts teacher who had us restoring a 1940s Ford and one of the projects was installing a rear-facing washer jet that aimed backwards and would spray tailgaters. He had me rig up a seperate reservoir and pump which was filled with anti-freeze. Apparently, this stuff just smears on the windsheild. :roflpuke2:

yah, just so that you guys are aware, you can get jail time for any object or harsh chemicals thrown at another vehicle while driving.

with people having celphones with cameras chances are you will get your car's picture taken and reported. :ugh2:
