Theres no way you can have more fun in mustang than 370z. 370z is hella fun car to drive hands down. 370z is a sports car. 5.0 is all out muscle/torque. It'll beat the 5.0 on track no problem. Ofcourse the 5.0 will beat 370z in straight. There are plethora of differences.
But wanna know my honest opinion? I really think you shouldnt get neither of these 2 great cars. No 370z....why? cuz you got kids. No mustang....why? its a horrible family car that has 2 doors (rear seat being cramped....not a pleasant ride for the kids) I really suggest something like 4 door g37s sedan or mercedes C or E class, Audi A4, etc... They might be a bit more than 370z or mustang but i think its a better deal. Because I think youre looking for a affordable, sporty, good looking, and practical car for you and your family. I really want you to get 370z because its a great car and i really think its a better car than the 5.0. But the honest answer is LOOK FOR A SEDAN |

I see TONS of Mustangs and Camaros in my town, that's one of the main reasons I'm getting a 370z, plus, hands down, it's a MUCH cooler car. The reason I even thought of a Mustang/Camaro was the V8 sound.

If kids and a wife are in the equasion, get a Volvo wagon. No such thing as travelling light with kids. Besides you'll need the space to keep 'em separated.:stirthepot:

The Mustang 5.0 is a lot faster than the 370 on track. It will walk away from a 370 on a road course given equally skilled drivers. The only thing I agree with you on is that the 5.0 is not a good family car. Yes, it has back seats, but it's in no way a feasible family car. A quick, sporty sedan would be a much better choice. If it's not going to be your primary "hauling the kids around" car then it's fine, but anything other than some quick trips it's really not that great. |

Some people don't care about having all out best performance in their car because that's only really useful if you're going to track it. In that case, looks, status, and comfort become bigger deciding factors. Quote:

What about the new STI Sedan??? As for the Z it has like what 82hp less then the 5.0 and it still is just as fast to 60 and not that far off the quarter (except for a couple of those like 12.2 11.9 BS "stock" quarter mile runs I have see on youtube") IDK???

I drove both...
I bought a Z. Although I regret not driving the new STi before, but sadly there isn't a Subaru dealership within an hour of driving distance that had one anyway. |

I was looking for 370 recently and was told my its former owner to m4a1 to look at the 5.0. I did because well 426hp (i think) is pretty attractive and the insurance rates were much lower than a C6 Corvette. Great drivers car but interior does suck the vette that is.
The 5.0 was a good car I just personally didnt like how I sat in it. Also I felt the 370s handling was a bit more refined. While one might be faster on the track I would think the 370 would be easier to get that speed out of. And last the 370s interior won me over. I love how it sits and how the whole dash is set up. And lets face it the interior is where we spend most of our time. Except the time I spend looking out the window at work looking at my 370. I liked the looks of the 370 better. Like most people said YOU have to drive both and see how YOU feel. You have a lot more to worry about than I did (ie kids family) I would also suggest finding a good sport sedan or something instead. if you can stand it a BMW 335i sedan isnt a terrible choice. I drove a couple year old ones. 09s should be coming off leases soon. Add about a $600 programmer and you can be pushing 400hp. and no one can say a BMW doesnt drive well. Just my thoughts |
