From what I've read, most of the international exporting ports are down south and they are largely in one piece. The problems arise with the infrastructure beyond, such as roads and rail. Factories will have to get their products to the ports to be shipped. With much of the shipping industry and manufacturers working on a "just in time" shipping model, there could be some delays. Approximately six ports took major hits closer to the north and they will be out for some time. You want to help the Japanese, donate or buy Japanese products.
