2011 Nissan 370Z GT !!
2011 Nissan 370Z GT - Top Speed
The new Nissan 370Z GT Edition will be distinguished by gray ’GT’ stripes running along the flanks of the car and standard 19" RAYS forged alloy wheels, which are finished in a dramatic anthracite color. Customers can choose between three exterior colors: metallic black, pearl white, and Black Rose (exclusive to the GT Edition). Some stripes and wheels are fine, but the real changes were made with some significant suspension and equipment improvements, including a retuning of the dampers to provide the ideal balance between ride comfort and high-speed handling. The list of standard equipment will include: a rear view parking camera as part of the Nissan Premium Connect satellite navigation option and the standard fitment of a tire pressure monitoring system. Lift the hood of the Nissan 370Z GT Edition and you’ll find the same 3.7-liter VQ37VHR engine with VVEL (Variable Valve Event and Lift) rated at 332 HP at 7,000 rpm and 270 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm. The engine can be combined with a seven-speed automatic transmission that offers a special snow mode which, when applied, sets the car off in second gear and controls engine revs to prevent wheel spin on ice or snow. Refinement is enhanced by revisions to underbody insulation to reduce road noise. :icon18: The new Nissan GT Edition will be produced in limited numbers. Prices will be announced at a later date, but, for comparison’s sake, the standard 370Z is priced at $30,610 for the base version so we’re looking at a few grand more for the special GT Edition. |
That's a cool decal, but really, Nissan should make it more different.
Something that will give the buyer a sense of uniqueness. A different spoiler perhaps, or different style wheels. |
OMG, it has a stripe on it! The pissing matches will start!
|
Not impressed. :(
|
needs a diff spoiler/wheels...then would be win.
|
Fail.
|
OMG, it has a TPMS! (Wait... what?)
|
Big fail
|
Just like the infiniti ipl. More gimmick garbage to charge more.

A few grand more for the GT racing stripe? hell yea....im all over it..
|
Nothing newwwww......
|
Hell yeah, repost!
|
Those wheels look like the 40th Anniv wheels. These pictures show a rear wiper and headlight sprayers, so perhaps this is a European option? Still, not impressed.

but wait - it's got a snow mode!!! :rofl2:
|
LOL....they couldnt possibly get into Nismo territory....so they can't upgrade anything...since they barely did anything with the Nismo...
|
No thanks..
|
That's it! I'm getting a GT strip!:nutswinger:

Actually, when I first read the first post without looking at pictures, I thought they were referring to the Gran Turismo edition, like the one Polyphony "developed" for the game...like this:

wonder what color that black rose is? wonder if its similar to the specVs opal black?
|
|
this is for Europe Only Model, not for NA or other market

ahh gotcha.. yeah forgot thats that color they showed when the roadster came out |
Monterey blue (US) = Prussian blue (Can), etc...they should just call the colors by the same name no matter if you're in N. America, Asia or Europe.
|
Reminds me too much of the Mustang GT500 badging on the bottom of them. Not my cup of tea and rather disappointed for a new variant of the 370Z.

It reminds me of my other favorite car, the porsche boxster spyder.
I love the 370ZGT so much, i just bought the number plate in NZ :) http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/upload/...sterSpyder.jpg |
Someone please make sure Nissan sees this thread. These kind of stupid trendy upgrades do nothing for a car of this caliber. What this car needs is some, better mpg ratings, FI intervention and further weight reduction down as close to 3000 lbs as possible. Anything else is unnecessary or gimmicky.

Decals give any car about 10 more WHP. Everyone knows that! |
Nissan is probably just trying to increase sales in europe, not that this will really do anything for them. I would like to see what sort of improvements they made to the road noise issue.
|
IMO want to make it unique (any car at that) find a local pin-striper and have them do some custom work. My 350 had a "tramp stamp" of some real One Shot paint slapped on it...gave it a little something to stand out from others. looked good.
Also, my Z got around, so the tramp stamp was necessary ;):happydance: |
Another marketing exercise in "brand extension".
When is te real NISMO Spec-C version coming (3.8 litre engine with 405hp), 6-sp seq shift box and factory lightweight parts (lose the electric seats in favour of CF seat shells, lose the entertainment system and AC, special bodyprep with no sound-deadener, CF bonnet, rear hatch and doors, NISMO 4-way adjustable dampers with factory-fitted FIA cage. 400+ hp and 1200kg - that would be a "proper" GT. SUbaru did it with the STi Spec-C series from 1998 onwards, you can buy (in Oz at least) Ralliart-spec EVO 9 and 10, and Porsche do it with the 911 GT3-series - why can;t Nissan get it right. Calling this a GT is a wank - pure marketing hype. |
The 2011 Nissan 370Z GT, will sit on the dealers lot for a long time, "if it sells at all"!
It's a joke! It's one sorry joke! Who is Nissan trying to fool? What are they thinking? |

GT originally stood for Grand Touring and it still applies, the FIA's misuse of the term not withstanding.
A lightweight stripped down model is more like the Honda S2000 CR (Club Racer), not a street car. Considering the other aspects of the 370Z that make it less suitable as a track vehicle, I think making it a better long distance driver isn't a bad idea. |
I wonder what they are going to do about the road noise.
would be nice if you could order it and have it installed on a 09. rear camera want. wonder how much it would cost to get a new NAV installed >_> |
they slapped a decal on and called it a 370z GT. Imma slap a air freshener on mine and call it a 370z Turbo diesel GT type R
