I'm assuming with the website theme and your picture, they are going to bring "Interlagos fire" back?

MC 04-06-2009 11:36 PM

looks sorta like the specV midnight black....but its not (thats a $6K color)

Anatoray 04-06-2009 11:42 PM

Looks waaaaaaaaaay better than the 350 vert with the top down, but what about with the top up? If it looks as good, i'll be slightly envious, but then i'll remember the huge price increase and forget that emotion even exists.

FairmanZ 04-07-2009 12:08 AM

Hmmm, if the Vert and Nismo are about the same price, which to get?

Asheth 04-07-2009 12:21 AM

Hmm not saying that I dont believe it but why would they debut the Z roadster and the Nismo here in the U.S. first?

Who knows? Well see when we see... But one reason may be, the global economic climate for corporations especially the auto industry as a whole are very different this time round.

Yea that is true well this will be something good to see. I really can't see DI being the reason for the HP bump. Infiniti first in the G then the Z and as far as I know the 09 G doesnt have DI. Intake+exhaust! If that is the case then the Nismo exhaust and whenever they get around to it intake have good numbers!

Forrest 04-07-2009 12:42 AM

If exhaust is getting 17rwhp on semtex or RCZ's car, doesnt that put them at 350hp?

Ricer Math here so i am sorry but 332 flywheel plus 17rwhp = 349. I know you cant add flywheel plus rwhp but it was easyer to do that then figure out its flywheel HP.

Do you even need to add direct injection to get that number? from what i have seen no you dont.

I predect they unviel semtex car heheh.

iceman21_23 04-07-2009 12:56 AM

well if they did that they could say that the car has around 400hp at the flywheel, somewhere were semtex is at or very close to

Ok based on this older article

Nissan 370Z NISMO: New images!

More images have leaked online of the forthcoming NISMO edition of Nissan’s new 370Z coupe. These eight new photos in particular show the S-Tune package for the JDM version of the new NISMO model.

According to a recently scanned brochure, the NISMO 370Z will come in two flavors: the NISMO S-Tune Aero Package and the NISMO S-Tune Performance Package.

The NISMO S-Tune Aero Package is the milder of the two packages and upgrades the 370Z with a revised front fascia, side skirts and a rear spoiler. Inside, the Aero Package spruces up the 370Z’s interior with NISMO floor mats.

The NISMO S-Tune Performance Package raises the performance bar, adding a new exhaust system, 19 inch NISMO wheels, an S-Tune suspension and upgraded brakes. No to be outdone by the lesser package, the Performance Package also adds NISMO floor mats.

No word if both NISMO packages will make it to U.S. soil, but with the base 370Z set to be unveiled later this month, we expect an announcement about the NISMO car in the coming months.

Exhaust! no DI.

Given the evidence we have so far from independent mod dynos on these forums, 18 (or more) HP from any reasonably well-designed intake and cat-back is pretty much a given. The stock exhaust on our 370s is total crap, and a poor match for the engine's capabilities, basically. The theory I was adhering to earlier was that they did this to lower the HP specs on the 370 to make the GT-R look better in terms of $$/performance. Now I'm thinking more like they did it to make the NISMO edition look better.

I think so. I doubt the Nismo exhaust alone is producing 18hp, and if I'm not mistaken, the Nismo intake is like dual pop-chargers, which put out about 6hp if they're similar to JWT's. Put the two together and you probably get your 18hp gain.

The average flywheel to wheel hp loss is 17%, so if you figure 17whp as being 83% of flywheel, 17whp works out to 20.48 hp at the flywheel. Add that to 332 and you get 352 hp.
