wiring it to the license plate light so that it's on when parking lights and headlights are on..

yep, for your fog lamp...

oh i see... but remember that the fog lamp is VERY BRIGHT at night for people behind you on a clear day. might make it a tad annoying and hard to follow you due to glare resulting in a crash. :icon14:

here you go.

for the foglight..

Buy a 2 stage bulb and socket.. 7443 size.. It can be found on autolumination.com. It will take a little bit of cutting the hole in the foglight to get it to fit but nothing major.

Wire them to your tail lights.. This way you can have it light up dim when the headlights are on, and light up bright when the brake is pressed.

Man, thanks a lot ... This is exactly what I was looking for..

So, there is not a dual filament bulb that is the same size as the foglights ?

What size is the bulb in the foglight ?

Take that hundred dollar estimate, square it and then take the inverse hyperbolic cotangent, then apply the quadratic formula, derive it and take the sum as n goes to X and, yeah, I missed it too. :icon17:

I believe 7440 is the size it comes with.. single filament bulb. the 7443 is really close in size, just need to trim the hole a little bit to get it to fit in there. Was the first mod I did well over a year ago and has held up perfect since.

Yeah, I totally understand now, I ordered a 7443 socket and the fog light earlier. I am wiring so that it will be dim then brighten up when the brakes are applied.
