My 370z is my DD and my dad has a 350Z with over 120k miles on it (also his DD).

I have a decently far commute (40 miles one way so 80 miles/day 4 days a week). To be honest driving the 370z is part of what makes my commute more bearable! There is no way I would spend a bunch of time driving some other car when the 370z is great fun and a great car to drive. Certainly not worth the extra 10 MPG I might get. I generally average around 25-27 mpg going into work and 23-25 MPG going back home.

Mine is a DD, as well. Including winters. I live in the metro Detroit area and this year was a strong winter. I had no problems with a Blizzak wheel and tire combo from Tire Rack. I get about 21.5 mpg in a 21 mile one-way-city commute. I picked up the car in Maryland and got 27.0 mpg on the trip home. During the break-in period, really babying it, I was getting 24.0 mpg in a 13 mile one-way-city commute. Impressive.

dd rite here!! But man gas is a $&@#%, wish there was less road noise and would love to get better speakers. However flooring it on the highway puts a smile on my face every time!!

mine is a DD as well, I love driving it but feel bad racking up the miles. Id like to get a 2006-2007 STI as a second car.

when i went for a test drive the other day, man there was just something about hearing that noise...something satisfying and soothing, i found it highly satisfying because your driving the car, and your hearing the car react.. i loved it:tiphat:

I have 2009 Corolla for DD, also have a new Matrix for hauling stuff. Z is driven about 3x a week.. never in snow or bad weather.

Urbanracer 03-19-2011 07:32 PM

My Z is only driven on weekends and after work, occationally I'll take it to the office. It goes into hibernation for the winters so it never sees snow. I have a maxima and a Honda CBR that I use as daily drivers.

LunaZ 03-19-2011 08:02 PM

Daily driver.
Except for the winter hibernation period.
Also, except for going to the gym in the morning.
And, except for when I need to haul crap for the house.
Except for days I feel like driving a convertible.
Except for when I go bar-hopping in the city.
I'll probably make an exception on rainy days.
Another exception is when I have more than one other person with me, but I've found that's subject to exception when the two girls are hot.

NewYorkJon34 03-19-2011 08:51 PM

That's alot of exceptions, lol the 2 girl thing is def a negitive of having a 2 seater. I guess the hotter one gets to sit up front, and the busted one can hold on to the rear bar in the hatch, lol

Every single day that I can, except in snow.I casn't wait to get into it and try to find the longest way to get there.:stirthepot:

Ditto. I live in SoCal, so I don't need a car for "bad weather". I'm just really careful when it rains, which isn't often.

I'm a single guy and have no need for a lot of room, so I can enjoy my 370 every day.

My Z is my daily driver, but been trying to avoid rain for now. Getting 22-23mpg mix of city/hwy. A Toyota Tacoma is now my secondary.

Mine is a weekend/errand car. I have a company car for work that the company gave me, along with a gas card, so it isn't really a question what I'm going to use during the week. Plus, the work car has all the literature I need for sales calls in it.

I find the earlier posts in this thread about driving in DC funny. I live in DC so naturally that's where I do most of my driving. There are places I know I wouldn't take it, but most places are fine. Hell, I took the thing to Chipotle and parallel parked it yesterday. Just choose your parking spots wisely.
