HAHA - No. But once opened I did state my case. It's advertising. If the title had said "When will the next model be released and what will be changed" do you really think I would have gotten all the hits?

I didn't think it was all that bad, but looking back, I'll choose my words more carefully next time. Lesson Learned.

If the seats are what are bugging you, that's really not such a big deal. Seats are easy to fix.

Truth.

Convert, are you still thinking Vette? I meant to ask, what trim/options/year?

I already bought.

2011 Z06, 1LZ package (2LZ got me blue tooth, heated seats, adjustable steering-wheel, a "memory" package, and the Bose sound system, which by all accounts is actually worse than the base system as the head unit doesn't have the wheaties for the extra speaker. Since none of that stuff did it for me, I just went 1LZ. If you are driving a car like this in weather that requires heated seats, you automatically fail).

Arctic white, competition gray rims, black head-lamp over-ride.

I am headed to Bowling Green to watch her roll off the assy. line this coming Monday. Here is a picture of someone else's car that is done exactly like mine.

All the talk of a hybrid that never happened.
Talk of a bigger engine? never happened.

All Nissan seems to add is an cabin filter and some new colors.

I like the car! But it's really showing it's age.

When is a new refreshed car due?

*** Hopefully, they will add some sound proofing too. ***

Are Porsche 911s' styling outdated? How about Ferraris, Lambos?

Thanks! I would say I would post pix in the off-topic section, but those are verboten in BG. Won't even let me take my cell-phone into the plant.

With economic times the way they are and the low sales of the Z, I wouldn't expect much in terms of a total redesign for at least another couple years.

IMO the car is great as is considering the price point it's at. It will get redesigned eventually I'm sure, but I think you should just buy the car now if you want it, otherwise there will always be something better coming out in the future... and more so the fact that you said you're leasing... by the time you're out of the lease, a new refresh version would be out for you to lease again...

:iagree:

Long time lurker and my first post. But this thread is a little off the wall. The car has only been out 2 years. I didn't actually see one until late 2009, so that's more like 1-1/2 years really (And hell, it's certainly still not a car I see everyday, if even once a month). NO car gets refeshed that fast that I know of. Someone wants changes, fine, but to expect requests like already changing the coolest door handles on any car sub $50,000 is..... um......

Troll or not, this thread was started maliciously, or at the very least wrong, and as it is, it's a waste of time. I'm going back to the awesome lights thread. ;) Actually, the lights were the first thing that immediately grabbed me and made me fall in love with this car. Then it was everything else. :yum:

911 is a different breed. The 993 looks great and is an air cooled classic. The 996 is kind of bland and not very popular. The 997 looks better. And 2012 introduces a new Carrera. The car has 40+ years of history so it's an icon.

As for a Ferrari sure - I would rather been seen in a 370Z then a 308. But I'll drive a 70's daytona or even the F430. It depends on the model.

I would like to see Nissan review all of the common gripes about the Z and fix them. Why not? Even if it breaks even or has no profit. It's about image and it gets people into the dealer so they can drive home that shiny new minivan with the kids.

Personally, I'll pay 50K for a Z. But I want a Twin Turbo 450 hp car with DSG. (Or what ever Nissan calls that type of transmission.)

Oh what the hell, I'm gonna say it... Get a Nismo, they are better cars :stirthepot:

...(Goes calling on Shamu and NismoRacer for backup)

The car was introduced in 2009 so lets do the math.
2009 Yr 1
2010 Yr 2
2011 Yr 3
2012 Yr 4 <--- Most companies refresh after 3-4 years.

And BTW - Almost all forums are an entire waste of time.

Welcome to the 370Z!

I think that you are too fickle. With only three model years, with poor sales in a poor economy, for Nissan to dump money into a new car seems foolish. The twin turbo model seems more likely than a major body change. The 240/260/280 Z's lasted 8 years, with the 280ZX 4-5 years. Then 5 years of the 300 plus six more with the 300 ZX Z32. Six years of 350Z's. With that said expect 5-6 370 Z model years before a major body change.

I loved my 280Z and hated the added weight and lowered power of the 280ZX. I just hope that their is no 370ZX.

If I missed or added a year of production I apologize.

Hi,
You should send your concerns to Nissan usa. I'm sure they'll listen to your concern and get to redesigning the Z right away! Here's their email address:
