strange question

I own a Z and it still turns my head. I see a vette and I think to myself.....another one.

30 years of Z car driving helped me make my decision. Jap reliability and expensive Corvette problems. If the GTR had a clutch I'd of bought one.

In 1995 it came down to a 300ZX tt or a 1965 Corvette. I fell in love with the 300 right off the bat and drove home in it.

not trying to stir it up here because i also love the 370 for all the reasons
that have been stated. we all bought the car so we should brag about it...

but i'm sure the other owners are saying the same stuff about their cars..
its all personal choice to each his own.

what separates the z from the rest imho is price vs bang for your buck..
in its class the 370 can't be beat..

and the same can be said about the corvette in its price range nothing touches it.

I was bored and splurged one weekend! I liked the Z because I drive a truck everyday at work and wanted a nice car that got descent milage and had good looks to it. I have all concepts of different cars in the garage from a muscle car (old school 67 camaro), toyota 4x4 offroader, to now a nice sports car that gets complements and is kinda rare in my town. I never see any 370's here. Maybe two a month or so. It also helped out that my best friend had a 76' model Z when we were in high school. I really just didnt want another regular car to drive around. Great cars and alot of fun to drive.

Actually, for almost $10K less (as tested), the 2012 GT-R practically embarasses the new Z0(whatever number they're on).

seeing is believing.doesn't the GT-R have like 14 cylinder's.
but 1/4 mile is only one test of a car.

i wasn't interested in the muscle cars like i do now when i bought my z.
i considered 3 cars: a corvette, a lotus exige, and a 370z nismo.
the exige was too small and i liked the looks of the z nismo more than the corvette.

Wasn't looking for a muscle car, but a sports car. A newer NSX in black auto was too rare so I gave up waiting. plus modern technology beckoned. The Cayman S PDK is very nice, but used models are still pricey and I was tired of driving an hour to my dealer.

Out of the major foreign manufacturers in town, the Z seemed like the only real sports car - pretty high tech, good handling, good acceleration. This board showed it didn't have many faults, and a used one with the options I wanted came available in town.

Some day I'll probably go back to a mid engine car tho.

These American muscle cars don't appeal to me and the used Z06 I test drove was on sale for the same price I paid for the brand new Z.

A well balanced RWD sportscar with impressive handling, power and looks.

On a side note, the other day I went to go fill up gas in my Z, some folks started talking pictures of my car....
