I don't have any experience with the Bel. My feeling is red is just as out of place in the Z as blue. I personally really dislike the red/orange color combo in general.

One power solution that is fantastic is Invisicord. If you have the touring center rear-view mirror (powered), you can plug the detector into the back of it. No more cords!
