splash guards or no splash guards
Just picked up my new 370, PG base with sport package. It came with the splash guards. What's everyones opinion on them. I kinda like the clean look. I need to take them off now before they rub a line in the paint, if I am going splashless. Thanks.

Keep 'em on. They are taped, drilled, and screwed in place.

Here's a thread on splashguard opinions. Hope it helps!

If you like the 'clean look', like SoCal says, "Do it!".
Personally, I think they look nice, so I would keep them on. But whatever you do with your splash guards, make sure you **** all other cars on the road whenever you can, please. |
With splash guards, they look good. I ordered mine with.

I have them, they are smaller at least than what was on the 350 and blend in better. Might as well keep them on, they will protect your sides from rock chips.
|
Of course you want to keep them.......I negotiated them into my deal, as a must.
|
If you take them out, I am looking for a set :) I will give you $30 for them :)
|
They were on my car when I purchased it. I didn't even notice them. I like the look and the protection.
|
They are hideous looking. I've seen them in person side by side with a car that didn't have them. I realize it's a matter of personal taste. Nissan made them a "mandatory option" when my car was ordered so unfortunately it will have them on when it comes in (April - May).
All I wanted was a base, 6 speed with sport package. None of the poser junk. They are out here, I've seen them - but Nissan would not build the car that way when the order was entered in early February. I went as far as contacting Nissan via email about this beforehand. They responded that they would build the car but when the order was entered it was denied repeatedly until the goober flaps were ordered. Another case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. Ridiculous IMO. I already told the dealer to remove them when the car comes in - hopefully before I get to see it. |
:hello:Congratulations and good luck with the new Z!:driving:

I say keep'em.

I bought a Z with splash guards, and am VERY happy I have them. They are very low key, but do a GREAT job! Keep 'em!

Picked up my 370 last week and plan to order splash guards from e-Bay tomorrow.

I'm going to take mine off and get some Yosemite Sam mudflaps that say "Back Off". That will be off the hook.

OP: I like the clean look as well, but if they are installed leave them alone. |

If mine did not already come with them, I would not have ordered them. That said, I like them now that I have them.

I like the splash gaurds on mine. The only drawback can be the color match between them and the main body. On mine you notice the change of color. I'ts like a bumper repaint that is not blended with the rest of the body.

Either way, the comment should've been addressed years ago. So I did. Lol:ugh2: |
Resurrected from the dead yet another 2 years later! Does anybody know where I can get a set on a good deal? (Didn't search for a group buy yet, but I just assumed there wouldn't be 1 haha)
