Oh no, can we not rehash the same topic again guys?
No offense to OP but I won't believe anything until I see it announced from Nissan or from someone who attends a focus group. Most of the people at Car Shows booths represent the booth vendor and not the manufacturer themselves, I know this from personal experience from my time at Nissan. |

talk about insecure at its best... lol at all the people that are butt hurt about this topic. after being on the market for 3 years, a power bump and few other new features seem norm in today's auto industry.

Yeah and every 6 months a new iPhone comes out.

Nissan didnt even have a GTR at this years Philly auto show :shakes head:...

I really don't think Nissan is planning in Direct injecting the 370z V6 engine. Looks like any chanes would be a smaller 6 cylinder direct injected motor, possibly turbocharged. I tried to find anything about it but only came across these;

Sooner or later Nissan is going to have to do something. 22 MPG isn't going to cut it when the new standards kick in.

Would a power bump to 350hp or so really matter that much performance wise. I mean, the Nismo has that output, but the real world gains amount to milliseconds. It seems more about bragging rights than anything else. Something faster is always around the corner anyways. I think Z owners are at the same point GT-R owners were before the 2012's were announced. I hardly believe a faster Z would make mine any less fun to drive.
I'd be more interested in the new changes to the bumper, facia and overall design. I'm guessing Daytime Running Lights... |
Any changes to the bumper and will be available to us soon after anyways.

I did not buy the Z for straight line performance only, it was the whole package... |
Wow, this is already turning into the DE vs. HR wars from the 350 days and the specs haven't even been released yet, lol. I will say one thing, if Nissan does make this change, then I wouldn't expect the difference in performance to be minimal. There have been very few cars that have switched over to DI and not gotten significantly better. Odds are I'll be trading mine in if the difference is there.

I hope a change like that doesn't happen just for the drop in value the early 370z's would take. |
