Navigation brightness changes by itself?

Hi,
May be its a noob question, but recently I have started noticing that the brightness on my nav (actually the whole dash) changes by itself...it becomes dim at times and lightes up brighter at others....is this some kinda feedback with the amount of daylight the car is getting? In other words, is it normal and I never noticed it before or is my car acting up ?

Any ideas...anyone noticed it in theirs?

If your headlight switch is set to auto? the headlights are turning on and cause the lights and Nav to dim. Perfectly normal

Nav auto dims when it is dark out. You can go through the menu to turn that feature off, I believe.

Yes it seem normal for my car too na......when I set it to auto headlight.....
