If I ever get 18 MPG city, I'll know it was the worst driving imaginable. When I get 12-13 MPG at gas fill up time, I smile knowing how much fun I've had.
It's all in the perspective.

i get 22ish average per tank. I got 27 driving it home from the dealer 250mi of I40

I set my shift light to come at 3K so I remember to shift and get some mpg. It also tells me to slow down cause I am doing 80 in a 65.

I get 19 mpg. Mostly driving local roads in stop-and-go traffic. I used to get 17 mpg when I used gas containing ethanol. When I switched to pure gas, the mileage went up.
