It really suck if you happen to stall it in traffic and it wouldn't crank. Unlike being in a parking lot.

And that's the biggest issue for me. Like you said, I don't want to take the car on a trip, don't want to kill it late at night at a service station or a store. It basically feels like a crap-shoot each time I turn it off. I should keep some dice in the center console. |

I went to the gas station so I was lucky at least. I'm more annoyed that I bought a brand new car and it's had 2 major problems.... :shakes head: |

Oh, ok. That's a plus.

Glad not many people are going through this...
 |
It is true the problem will only disable the vehicle after a full ignition cycle, but according to the owners manual the problem can occur even while the car is running. According to Nissan if the "Intelligent Key Warning Light" comes on while the car is running you should drive it to the dealership without cutting it off.

Hi guys, virgin post here.
Am intending to purchase a 09 370z MT.. Is this issue only confined to the 09 models or are the 2010 and 2011 having the same issues? Anyone can confirm if the part that is changed is of a different part or is it still the same bound-to-fail part? Thanks (: |
