Sorry, I thought you meant you carried but weren't sure if you could hold the temper back.

I find myself not going to a lot of places with my Z. It seems most of the time I'm driving it out of pleasure. There are too many ******** with no respect for other peoples property so I am hesitant to drive my Nis anywhere where I have to leave it sittin for awhile. I had a douchebag at the dealer rest his coffee mug on top of my car. At the DEALERSHIP. You think the sales guys would be more attentive. But no they don't care. He didn't even think twice about it. He probably thought what's the big deal it's not hurting it.....

However, it bends in like NO other. I was at the MD getting my yearly bloodwork/checkup stuff done and my Dad parked 1 car over from me. He didn't even recognize my car. I watched him walk back to his vehicle and he didn't even spare it a glance. Didn't even think that I was at the same MD at the same time as him. My WS6, he would have seen it/internalized the significance of it immediately.

My car blends in like you would not belive. It's a silver 4-door family car of early 2000's vintage. I don't have to be fast to run from the cops, just find a group of 3 or more other cars, lol. (joke, not serious).

I am going to keep the G20 and DD it instead of the 'vette or 370ZTT or whatever I get for the same reason. I don't want the attention, I don't want the jealousy, and I don't want to come out of the hospital one morning to see profanity etched to the fiberglass on my hood one morning. Ienjoy sports cars because I like how they perform and I view them as mobile, usable art. Not so I can impress anyone or pick up women. I don't even date. I just like sports cars and want to enjoy it without being messed with. This means garaging whatever I get except on my nights off and never letting it out of my sight otherwise. Image doesn't mean a damn to me. I traded my '95 Trans Am for an '88 GT a while back. Everyone told me women would hate the GT in comparison (and they did), and I didn't care one whit.

Thats why I asked. The blending in with the other cars can be pretty useful.

I used to really be into cars. I went to a tech school thinking I wanted to be a mechanic. I worked in a Nissan Dealer in Fort Worth for a couple years. After dealing with cars day in day out. They do loose the mystique of a piece of art and because a high priced sheet metal wrapped around a motor. The salemen work and deal with the new products everyday. They are desensitzed to the new car. They forget the guy they are talking to is looking do drop a healthy portion of their annual salary (in most cases).

I have only come close to keying a car once. It was just a bad day. Tired, frustated, and on my last nerve. This new Challenger was running around and driving like a d__K all day. I had been running around town (smallish town pop. 10K) and seen this douche in passing/getting cut off all day. I couldn't find a spot in Wal Mart parking lot. This Challenger is in FRONT centered in 2 spots. If you want 2 spots get the ones in the back. I really wanted to take a screw drive and crease both rear fenders and trunk deck lid, but I didn't. Cooler minds prevailed. Had I messed up this car, the owner would probably think is was out of envy cause that is what people assume. Not that the OP is parked poorly or had offended them is someway. Somepeople just get caught at the wrong time and get set off. I totally disagree with vandalizing another person's property. If You have a problem, settle it with them not their stuff. Rant over

I NEVER put a coffee mug on someone's car. I worked for Ford in sales for about a year. Always loved the cars. Never lost any mystique, and I spent some time hanging with the techs in the shop, as well. I also hung out at the wash area. I tried to make friends with everyone at the dealership. Even the "back of the house" employees. Pays off.

$50-60K is what they tell me every couple years here in Cailfornia. Sounds like I could come down there and take out a whole gang for the money. :bowrofl:

Haha, that's because California is...well...Kalifornia. I am impressed that you have a Cali CCW permit, lol. I have a friend with a NY permit, and that took some work...

For me, it took about $250 and a few hours time and a 1 month wait for it to arrive in the mail.

Sorry to hear, I wish cars came with an electromagnetic paint coating if someone keyed it theyd get shocked with like 3,000,000 volts of electricity... haha!

I had something similar happen where some guy in a Silverado parked about 2 feet from the drivers side of my Z. I had to climb in through the passenger side. What pissed me off was when I got to the drivers seat I see him walking to his truck laughing.

So I opened my door into his door and left. No damage on my end but if there was it would have been worth it.

Or you can piss in his truck bed... Not condoning that kind of behavior and not saying you should but, just saying, you know...:wtf2:

To the OP, sorry that happened to you. I really don't understand why people can be so disrespectful and do sh!t like this. For most people a car is the second most expensive purchase ever, after a house. Why would you purposefully and for no reason want to damage that??

Dubbs03 01-06-2011 10:12 PM

I say all of us Z drivers start using these!

Sounds like a redneckin *** wipe. I was at a gas station and this hillbilly says " nice ******* car! " I didn't know how to take it. Was he paying a compliment or being sarcastic because he's not over the civil war. Idk.
