I carry, too, but be very careful about it. If you shoot someone, you may be cleared criminally, but will still likely face civil suite, which averages about 6-8K to defend against in my state, for justifiable homocide.

I thought he was just admiring it like every other car that stops by. 30 mins later he walks out, order food then gets back and drives off. I'm getting ready to put stuff back to the car when I found it all scratched at passenger side. Grr Angry face!! Jealous mofo, I still have the scratch on the Z, but I still have the Z! Pics later when i'm free. I don't even wanna drive it anymore.

You definitely should call the cops. If there was evidence such as video or eyewitnesses then he can be prosecuted.

Who would file a civil suit? ;)

We need the Robocop security option on our cars - I figure a future hybrid Z will have plenty of power to feed to the body :D

Actually, AAA suggests that you park close to wherever you are. You risk people hitting your car when they open their door, but its the safest place to park. Park where there are a lot of people walking by, where you/people can clearly see your car.

Plus, personally, I think you risk looking like a douche when you park far off on its own. No offense.

Families almost always sue, and every dirt-bag has family that comes out of NOWHERE once they end up dead and their family thinks they can milk it. Did they not cover all the liabilities involved in actually killing someone when you took your CCW course?

no need to carry not worth shooting the xxs hole....

it sounds crazy but i hear woman are now carrying a small can of wasp spray instead of pepper spray. it will spray from 20 feet away. one hit of that stuff in the face will get the job done.

PapoZalsa 01-05-2011 08:16 PM

That SUCKS!!!

A lot of times I think maybe I shouldn't carry my gun for reasons like this, because if I caught the guy doing it, there's no telling how that would end for him. Then I'd spend life in jail for murdering some fuckin idiot.

Gotdamn that's Evil! I never thought about that. But those are normally huge cans.

Damn I can just imagine getting hit with wasp spray. Getting O/C Pepper sprayed was the worst experience in my life. Getting tazed wasn't so bad. I just felt retarded when my muscles started spazing.

It will also probably lead to a very win-able lawsuit. WOULD NOT! do this.

Mace sucks.

^Do you REALLY want this to be your last line of defence against someone bent on killing you?

If you do not feel that you are emotionally capable of carrying a firearm and using it ONLY if it is NEEDED, please, don't. This is not an insult, just a polite request from a fellow CCW permit holder. I know some people really lose it over things, and I don't think they should carry unless they can take out their anger with yelling or something other than pulling their weapon. Noone really knows "how much they can handle", but if you suspect you might use lethal force in a situation because of anger and not necessity, then CCW is not for you. It is a liability that you could wish you never undertook.

Is that why you ditched your ride? I imagine going incognito and blending in saves the paint from a lot of hate.

I ditched my WS6 because I figured the G20 would be cheaper to maintain. I have been VERY DISSAPOINTED regarding that.

However, it bends in like NO other. I was at the MD getting my yearly bloodwork/checkup stuff done and my Dad parked 1 car over from me. He didn't even recognize my car. I watched him walk back to his vehicle and he didn't even spare it a glance. Didn't even think that I was at the same MD at the same time as him. My WS6, he would have seen it/internalized the significance of it immediately.

My car blends in like you would not belive. It's a silver 4-door family car of early 2000's vintage. I don't have to be fast to run from the cops, just find a group of 3 or more other cars, lol. (joke, not serious).

I am going to keep the G20 and DD it instead of the 'vette or 370ZTT or whatever I get for the same reason. I don't want the attention, I don't want the jealousy, and I don't want to come out of the hospital one morning to see profanity etched to the fiberglass on my hood one morning. Ienjoy sports cars because I like how they perform and I view them as mobile, usable art. Not so I can impress anyone or pick up women. I don't even date. I just like sports cars and want to enjoy it without being messed with. This means garaging whatever I get except on my nights off and never letting it out of my sight otherwise. Image doesn't mean a damn to me. I traded my '95 Trans Am for an '88 GT a while back. Everyone told me women would hate the GT in comparison (and they did), and I didn't care one whit.

Uhh, yeah, I know. That's why I made the comment. Don't throw my own comments back to me as wisdom.
