Equally amazed so many people pay over $600/month

This is not quite a fair poll - and consumer research is part of my job.

Not apples to apples.

Base vs sport vs touring vs sport touring vs nav with all vs roadster base vs ZR touring vs tour with sport...

there could be up to almost a 20k difference. hence the variance.

I'm on car #49 so paying cash is silly for me - i trade every 6 months to year with a few exceptions. If I decide I want to keep this after a year - I'll just write a check.

It's easy to go under the mattress

so why should I finance??

Benji says the borrower becomes the slave to the lender.

Paid cash and already saving for my next toy.

I voted 600+ because I'm paying $900 a month for 60 months with a 8.99% APR rate

:wtf2:

That is insane...54K for a car that will be worth 15K maybe 18K in 5 years.
Plus insurance full coverage, because it's financed.
That is a freaking house payment.

Now that, to me, is smart buying if you're not paying for it outright. Free loan. Stretch it out as far as they'll let you. Wise.

synolimit 11-15-2013 05:34 AM

Unless you total it and its worth less than you owe.
