Default Should I do it?

I'm crazy for considering this....but I'm seriously thinking of trading my recently purchased 07 BMW 335i for the new Z.

Problem with the BMW is that it's just not a very engaging driving experience. I don't commute and can walk to work if I so choose, so a car is just entertainment for me.

However the Z is very noisy at speed (had an 03 track version when they first came out, lots of road noise from the tires). I believe my wife will have issues when it comes to vacation travel.

Banging my head on the roof upon entry will be no fun either. I'm a big guy.

Plus the car sounds better on the outside than the inside.

Cons aside.....the cars a blast to drive. And that's what it's all about.

I'll need to trade the bimmer in for it though. Do car dealers except even trades?

cheers

The road noise is nothing the bose stereo can't fix, the Z is a lot more engaging than the bmw, like sports car supposed to feel. I came from a 05 bmw 530 and it was like I stepped into my old 240 with all the upgraded goodies. I'm a Z guy coming back made me realize what I was missing driving a bmw. Don't get me wrong I'm a bmw fan also but I'm stuck on Z's.

I'd stick with the BMW, honestly. Soundsl ike you'd have way more of a headache with the Z than the 335. Plus...hey, it's a BMW, props to you for being able to buy one!

Keep the BMW unless you have a lot of money to blow. You would lose your *** in a trade.

All great responses......yes it would be a huge waste of dollars to trade at this point, and I'm not a rich man, just a working stiff.

The BMW is great fun going fast, and I mean real fast. You need to push it to insane speeds to get a thrill worked up. Big ticket stuff. Plus I just don't like automatics, no matter how hard I try.

I admit I have a real car addiction. Had the first track Z in my town back in November 02, traded for a Subaru......which I traded for the Vett.....which I traded for the GTI.....which I traded....well you get the picture.

I'll hold off till spring and see how I'm feeling then.
Unless the dealer comes back with a smoking deal.
Oh crap, see, I'm doing it again.

Later and enjoy.... the Z is a fun little car.

Like someone else stated, get the BMW chipped and get a full coil-over suspension. I would also add an exhaust, but that's just me. After all that you may be looking at $4-$5k.

You also could go the route of just getting a used e46 M3($16k-$40k) and blow away the 335.

BTW, I love the 370 and am not trying to knock it, just posting the obvious options.
