Not sure there moms would watch.

Lemers 11-29-2010 12:22 AM

I thought the down hill evo drive would be fun.

Jamaica 11-29-2010 12:54 AM

the evo was somewhat interesting especially with the track time on a stock evo.

shoopajae10 11-29-2010 01:17 AM

it was quite boring and stupid, indeed.

what did they say bout the Z?

Nothing. The segment was about drifting, not about the Z. They barely managed to mention the name of the car. No commentary about it, no lap around the test track for comparison.

I think the dog summed up my feelings about the show perfectly.

ThoriumHotdog 11-29-2010 01:36 AM

How many Ford or Chevy commercials did they have during commercial breaks?

Boost_lee 11-29-2010 02:06 AM

blah, at least there was a blue one lol

It was funny when he said Rednecks and burnouts go together like Whiskey and hunting, but the hour it cost me to get there wasn't worth the chuckle it brought

spearfish25 11-29-2010 07:04 AM

The producers need to think "what would a Z owner (or whatever car is being driven) and the general male viewer want to see?". It's not a blind guy trying to drift. It's a f'ing hot lap in the Z so there is a time on the board.

And it's Vaaaaantaaaaage. Not VANtage. I'm ashamed of being American sometimes.

Pronunciation changes from place to place. All of the Vantage owners I have met call it the "VANtage."

Take Toyota for example. It's pronounced differently in Japan than it is in the rest of the world. It's not that big of a deal.

It's stupid to feel ashamed over something so petty.

SeeyaBud86 11-29-2010 08:54 AM

Yea I was really ashamed that they didn't take it around the track...
On the real Top Gear the Z was faster around the track than the Evo. It kinda felt like they brushed the Z off, like it wasn't that big of a deal. I would say crappy hosts, but only 2 of them are. I like Tanner, hes worthy of being on the show but they need to get the other two out of there for real enthusiasts. I think its kinda funny when Rutledge and Ferrara test out cars they get the auto versions. They need to :gtfo2:. Ken Block? Even Jay Leno? So many other choices. I'd rather see good driving than be entertained with jokes. Afterall thats what the show is about.
