Another one bites the dust. Hopefully one day you will make it back in to a Z.

Vegas, bro, I hope you'll keep coming back here!!! It's a shame you had to trade the Z, but I completely understand. It's all about practicality.

I traded in my 09 sentra which was like 10k in the hole and I put 5k down. Bad descision I know. But this altima is savings me money all the way around and in Jan my payment should be down in the low 300's or high 200's cause I will be refinancing it and putting around 6-8,000 towards the loan :)

Not everyone makes what you do and can afford to pay cash.

IMHO, who cares about a note, if you enjoy the car and can afford it. It's just building credit for later so that you can get a great rate on your house/finance easier.

Trust me, I do not make alot of money. Just saved and was able to put a nice peice of change down on her, plus I have perfect credit.

Well i've become way wiser on my finances in the last year. Unfortunatly i went threw a young and stupid age with money. Now im paying for it. Sorta. I hope to pay this car down in about 2-3 years on top of saving. I've been putting away about 1000 to 1300 a month(roughly 30% of my income). Thats was also with my Z before I got an apartment. Now I have an apartment the Z needs to go. I now have a budget and am alot more money smart. Im still managing to save at least 1000 every month, with 0 cc debt. My only debt is my car.

How old are you?
I get the feeling the OP is a bit younger.

I know my credit is pretty solid for a 24 year-old, but on the Z I am looking at, I am still going to be paying around 5% interest (on 72 month term to make the note livable) even with 20% down.

We have to start somewhere, man.

What do you do in the military that pays nearly $4500, if I can pry?

Is the cost of living rediculous where you are? With my appartment, my cost of living per month is around $1400 where I am.
