2011

From the Nissan web site no changes. Grab a 2010. I purchased a base 2010 black new for 27000 plus tax 5000 off MSRP also found a 2010 sport & touring for 33000.00 also 5000 off MSRP also black. I went for the base because I plan to drive the car to Starbucks on the weekend.

The sport & touring are great.

Roach 10-28-2010 12:57 PM

not sure if those prices will exist in south fla where everything is marked up but they do sound damn nice. I guess id like to know the next version, and if its minor, then i could grab the 2010s while dealers try to get rid of them.

ThoriumHotdog 10-28-2010 01:08 PM

1 new color.
The addition of a rear view camera. I think you can select it for any model.. not sure on that.

gorillanismo 10-28-2010 01:18 PM

the million dollar question is:
they fix the oil consumption problem for 2011 models???

NiZZZmo370 10-28-2010 01:52 PM

I havent heard that they will fix the oil consumption problem unfortunately. :(

Oil consumption problem? I guess I've been out of the loop on this one! :)

I check my oil level at least once a week and neither my 2009 or my 2010 seemed to use any oil between changes.

2011 Changes

- Back up camera either an option in the mirror, or comes with nav
- New color added
- No longer an up charge for black cherry

I would actually agree on this, I never felt it being a problem...Especially like some of the old 350Z's.

Roach 10-28-2010 02:38 PM

Is the new color Burnt Orange? and a dumb one but how do you have a backup camera without a screen? (or is it just the backup sensor?)

There is a small screen in the mirror, if you don't have the nav head unit

Roach 10-28-2010 03:00 PM

really? Ive never heard of this, but sounds intriguing. Even if it would be way smaller than the LCD version.

Not the Z's but gives you an idea

I's nice that they are trying this mirror "display" in the 370 but I don't know how useful it will really be! I would assume my Nismo won't have this but I guess I'll see when it gets here. :)

Most of the vehicles (except of course my Zs) have/had back-up cameras and they are useful but I've found that using my mirrors is still the better choice for backing up in most cases.

I want a Z 10-28-2010 03:38 PM

I find backup camera mostly useful for parking when backing into a spot, that's about it.

The new color is Gun Metallic. I believe its the same Gun Metallic that comes on the GTR.

I'd have to look again to be sure but I think my 2010 already had heated mirrors. :)

Really? Don't take this personally, but I hate you. I REALLY miss my heated mirrors.

Since you are going to hate me for it I decided I should at least make sure so I went out to the garage and checked and yes, both outside mirrors have the little "heated" symbol on them.

I think that was a change for 2010 (which means, of course, that it wouldn't be a change for 2011).

Poop. I guess I could use a cigarette lighter to heat mine up.

optiontrader 10-29-2010 11:36 AM

^^^ Or you could write up a DIY and route a door heater vent to the side mirror housing... :roflpuke2:

Huh, nothing is marked up down here? I have gotten crazy deals on both of my 370z's. Hell you can buy my old one at a dealership at Vista Motors in Pompano Beach, FL for cheap. :)

Edit: Actually if you want me to work out a deal FOR you just tell me what you want, the price you want to pay, what you're putting down and financing and I'll help you out with a deal. Send me a PM!

That's kinda disappointing... Sports cars should be bright colors. :)

I miss those as much as my rear wiper and homelink mirror. I wish I could add those to my '09.

My wife's car is a RAV4 Limited, has that same mirror for the rear cam. It dissapears when you put it back in drive and its a refelctive surface again. You can't really see the screen when it's off. Pretty cool actually. The only think I don't like about it is that it doesnt have Homelink.

There is a DIY on how to add the Homelink. Putting one on my Nismo this weekend hopefully. Got it HERE on his Ebay store. Nice guy.

well, all models not necessary have this problem, but yes, a lot of people are trying dealing with this...

AlphaSnacks 10-31-2010 03:02 PM

Where are you guys getting this info from? I haven't heard anything about backup cameras and so forth. I need to know before I commit to a 2010.

Nissan website. Someone here is organizing a group buy for the backup camera and mirror if you're interested. It's available as an option for all 2011 models I believe.

2011 Nissan 370Z Coupe, NISMO Z | Nissan USA Official Site.

Most of it can be found in the "build your own" area.

370z camera from "individual options" link.

AlphaSnacks 10-31-2010 06:32 PM

Well look at that, Carsdirect and Cars.com still weren't listing 2011s. I normally don't visit official sites when building a car.

Anyways, yeah, I think I may be interested in the camera once I get the car.

ThoriumHotdog 10-31-2010 06:40 PM

There have been a few news articles on it too but I didn't bookmark them.

sonic370 10-31-2010 06:40 PM

I'm really surprised Nissian hasn't tried to get a few extra HP out of the 2011
somehow. if only for a marketing ploy to sell a few more cars..

does anyone think they can bump it up to 340 or 350 HP...

before the redo the body style again

The face lift and any hp changes will probably come in 2012 and I think 340 is very possible but they are probably going to want to stay well south of the current nismos hp

ThoriumHotdog 11-05-2010 01:23 AM

Posted this in the other 2011 thread but wasn't sure if it belonged there.

Is this the gun metallic?

Of course they can. They could put a CAI on the car like Ford did, they can put the NISMO exhaust on the regular Z, and they can probably find some other little way to help out a bit and get around 370bhp out of the car. A fitting number for the "370Z".

Will they? No.
