Cop wants to race?

About a month ago I was at a stoplight waiting to get onto an onramp to a highway, and in front of me was a blacked out Charger. When the light turned green, he peeled out and went flying up onto the highway. I got onto the highway at a normal speed, and once I got on, he slowed down in the passing lane and made me come up beside him (I kept going the speed limit). He revved it a few times, jumping ahead, then slowing down, and then floored it and took off. A few seconds later, my radar detector lit up full bars. Considering he was the only one on the highway and cops like Chargers, I'm pretty sure it was an unmarked trying to get me to race, and he flipped on his radar to see if I took the bait. Thought it was odd he completely went out his way to try to get me to do something.. So yeah, to OP, I don't doubt it one bit he was trying to do the same to you.

had a NC state highway patrol supervisor do that to me. i passed a car on the right that was poking *** in the fast lane(about 10mph under the speedlimit) and i didn't notice it was a cop till i saw the silver stripe on the side. i might have been doing 5 over but he mashed his brakes hard and got in behind me and lit me up. when he got up along me first thing he said was "man this is a nice car" and gave me a verbal warning while him and another cop checked out the Z.
