DRESS UP BOLTS (a customer service story)

Now, you probably already know there was a mixup in the group buy for my Dress Up Bolts order (if you were part of that thread). Just, apparently, Murphy making the rounds and picking on me.

Anyway, I became irritated and impatient and canceled my order. And my money was returned promptly with an apology.

Then, a week (or so later), I receive a package and a comment to the effect of:

"We have a strong commitment to customer service at Dress Up Bolts and you are the only customer that wasn't satisfied when making an order. I talked to the boss and we agreed we couldn't let a single customer leave like that so we sent you the set you originally ordered free of charge. In an effort to put things right"

Not every day you see that, that's for sure! So I'm here to :tiphat:

Thanks, Chris !

(now post me a link so I can make things right between us and send you some money...your gesture deserves something in return)

It is always refreshing to see some good faith between vendors and customers, never underestimate what good customer service can do. Really nice to see you recipricating too!

I had a pleasant experience with Tony at F.I. Those are the ones you can count with the fingers of one hand and they should received our gratitude.

BTW, the damage muffler canister still sitting in my dinning room.

You can't beat that customer satisfaction. I will definitely recommend them.

They're a small starting company. It's the right thing to do. :)

That's pretty stand up for the company to do.

Cjanik 10-23-2010 10:35 PM

no kidding, how many companies nowadays would do such a thing?

big or small companies should have good service. this is what i have been saying in a bunch of threads, customer first. Thumbs up to them for the service and you for being willing to send some money but I dont think they will take it.

Wow great customer service. Glad it worked out. wish more companies have customer service like that.

It sure seems like fewer companies are doing the right thing and valuing customer service these days. Refreshing to hear about this...

Thumbs up!
