Thank you. :tup: Exactly the kind of time I have been talking about. People talking 1 or 2 hours are just giving mis-information to the others here thinking about this. This is not a quick easy job. It's not hard per say, but it is tedious and long. It's also hard on your bum and your back and your fingers.

Thanks again, exactly what I've been saying. It took me 9 sheets @ 18 x36 to cover the entire hatch area. I had 1 sheet left (bought 10 sheets from FatMat), so I used the last sheet to double up on material over the front of the fender wells where most of the plinking noise is coming from.

Today for the first time I hit an area with lots of small pebbles..WHOA! What a racket even with all that dynamatt..but it was only for a few seconds so no big deal...

I've heard less noise when riding a Polaris Razor. It was like having a large piece of tin 6 inches from your ear getting plinked by a rapid fire high velocity BB gun. I truly don't understand the tire noise debate, because that sh*t is mild compared to the pebbles. Way mild.

Trouble is the tire noise is constant..but the pebbles are just an occasional thing..

Engine sound, transmission scream, exhaust note, tire/road noise = Mechanical Music :tup:

Plinking rocks, tinking pebbles, spraying water = Obtrusive Noise :shakes head:

Although if you ask RUSH, it's all good....

how is it that the one called "Bonzo" can read my thoughts?!!??

Currently own a 2004 base auto G35 Coupe and I have a 2013 Z 6mt Sport Package on order. For those of you who have owned a G35 Coupe around my year, how much louder is the road noise on the Z?

Let's say on a scale of 1 to 10 and the G35 is a 5, what would the Z be? And is this noise just on concrete highways?

I did take a 20 minute test drive with the Z on the highway and some bumpy/beat up back roads and it seemed quieter and smoother than my G35, however this was all on asphalt.
