what if you dont get the navi but get the mirror with the back up and homelink...would you be able to go aftermarket and keep the rearview mirror with a

what if you dont get the navi but get the mirror with the back up and homelink...would you be able to go aftermarket and keep the rearview mirror with a back up camera for the navi..i know this might kind of defeat the whole purpose of getting the mirror with the rearview but i just want to know my options. The only reason im asking is because i use the homelink right now with my car and it would be really cool to keep that feature and have a back up camera until i go aftermarket.
