Totaled my Z...
 

so the other night i got into an accident. thankfully my girl and i were uninjured, just a little banged up from the accident.

i dont wanna say exactly how it happened because i havent gone to court for it yet but i can say that VDC was on, i was doing the limit actually a few under. i was just driving and got distracted, its my first accident

i had only put 5299 miles on her:shakes head:

Unfortunately, all the airbags that deployed are around $6-8,000 to replace and you are looking at huge body work so I am sure that it is totalled. Glad to hear you guys are ok, getting distracted can happen to anyone even if no one else is in the car but what matters is that you live to learn from your mistakes.

yeah i def learned, and yeah the car is totaled. my girl did nothing to cause this, it was my fault

i actually got the car in August of 09, just kept it low mileage

If the insurance company declared the car totalled, the car now belongs to the insurance company. I don't think you can strip parts from it.

Depends. Sometimes they total it and you keep it. Often keeping the car is part of the deal they cut, but with a car that bad the ins. company has no leverage to make you accept a lower price so they'll probably just sell it at auction.

Insurance does not cover road head accidents... lol

You're lucky dude, crashed my 350 a couple years back and broke my neck. Woulda killed a passenger if I had one. Count your blessings that your okay and especially that she is okay.
