Honestly everyone's situation is different. My little civic isn't worth but a couple of thousand bucks. It's cheap to maintain, good on gas, and comfortable. Best of all it allows me to really enjoy the time I spend with my Z. I'm not worried about having to drive the Z in bad conditions. |
I bought the same Blizzaks that AK got from TireRack and bought some wheels from them also. They were beyond awesome. I was buzzing by people in front wheel drive and AWD cars like it was nothing. Of course, I work in Kentucky and they pretty much can't even drive when it's dry, so it's all relative.
Tirerack has got the Blizzak LM25 (which is what I bought) for $140 each plus you get a $50 reward card with set of 4. They've got some other good prices right now too. TireRack.com Search Winter / Snow Tires By Vehicle at Tire Rack |
No winter here drive year round.........:driving:

It only cost me $44 a month to insure my 01 Forester. It use to belong to my mother who purchased it new back in 01. Its got 180k on the clock and runs like a champ.

I drive mine just like I do in Summer. Really we only have two seasons here. Summer and Not-Summer.
|
ditto.
Winter = windows down finally |
I drive mine!

What is this winter you speak of?
|
I plan to put on all-season tires on the stock wheels.
(That's what I did with the NSX, then I got refurbed wheels and just swapped wheels and tires myself.) |
I have a daily beater that I take out when the weather is not too great...Keeps the Z looking new 24/7 and out of the crappy weather...
