Sounds shady. They should have at the very least put the seat back in with a temp. cover while they waited for the correct part. The interior molding around the seat belt was torn in my car. They offered the car back to me until it came in a week later but I have other sets of wheels so I told them they could keep it.
Your shop should pay for the rental car at the very least for all your troubles, after all it was their fault the car wasn't given back to you in a timely mannor. I'd say with parts and work the damage to your car shouldn't have taken more then two - three weeks to complete if the shop wasn't overly busy and backed up.
Oh and the GTR that was in the shop while I was there came from an owner that had the work botched by another shop and was having it redone by the place I took my car too. I've since sent more work their way. The best thing to do is ask around about body shops. |
