Well, here you go....a few pics of the damage. The first hit looks like it happened just to the right of the Nissan and it rode up the hood from there:

That's awful! It makes me sick just looking at it. I can only imagine how you're feeling. Keep us up to date on the repairs. Good luck!!!

Holy shiznit... I'd be crying on the spot. You ever get that heart sinking feeling? That's what I get.
I had a friend who barely had his 3-series for a month when he hit a deer one night. He saw a couple of deer walking towards a fence so he slowed down. As he got close, one of them charged towards his car and smacked the front quarter. Another one of my friends, after getting a new job, bought a brand new TL-S. He barely had it for a month when the car in front of him slammed the brakes as he was merging on the freeway. I was on my way to work and saw a TL-S on the side with broken headlights, and found out an hour later it was him. O_o I'm getting quite OCD upon the arrival of my Z next month, so I'm hoping to get enough rain to wash away the sand. It gets pretty windy here with sand blasting the new cars at the dealership. >.< |
Wow! That damage is a bit worse than I'd imagined... You must have done something bad in a past life... J/K... It's not that bad. That does blow though. No worries. It's just a car and you're not dead, so you live to tell about it. The important thing is you're ok.
|
Haha....I may need to "borrow" that quote of yours, Crash but modify it just a little....."You can't own a nice car in the D.C. area"

Sorry to hear about the damage, OP. Like others said, at least it didn't go through your windshield  |
Uggh...thats just horrible bad luck :(
Keep your chin up. I'm sure she'll be lookin like new once its fixed! |
I've got major sympathy for what happened. About 10 days ago, someone on the freeway (couldn't tell who) kicked up a rock into my windshield. Small pit and crack right in my line of sight. Called my insurance agent and it was replaced ASAP. I was devasted and pissed so I can begin to imagine how much worse 2theextreme must have felt.
BTW, if anyone has to have their windshield replaced, be advised that it involves loosening/removing the fascia on the A pillars and the roof fascia above the side windows. The tech that did the job was very careful both disassembling/reassembling everything. Everything is like brand new again. |
Pretty sick that there's people out there who get their jollies off of lobbing bricks off overpasses at passing cars. Obviously the people who do this are sociopaths and have no connection or empathy to other human beings. They should be placed in a pot of oil and boiled alive.

I hate overpasses because of we'll let's see you are driving along and u have a very expensive car and the bridge collapses. You would be screwed. Once I was driving under one and the vehicle I was driving was a raised pick up truck. And a pice the width of a semi fell and the truck ended up upside down due to the piece falling on the back of the bed
