Guys thanks for all the advice. I was just dreaming. And yes, there are plaenty of beautiful girls in Texas. I think i will buy a used 350 one day in the near future after i sell my Trans Am. I actually got a new job and I should be making about 4,500 a month and I'm a single guy so maybe it will come sooner than expected. once again, thanks fellas.

Just make sure you plan out the $ you have to pay for insurance, gas, maintenance, mods(if applicable).

Take elms advice, cause its a really good one. stick with school, get through and get a good job. then you can buy the z of your dreams.[=

trust me, the maintanence will be less on what i pay on my TA. and gas isn't an isssue. I live 10 minutes from school. 30 seconds from work and about 5 minutes from church. I will have a Z in the next year, im sure of it.

Wow, that was quick. Just yesterday you were working at a chick-fil-a. Is that $4,500 before taxes? If it's after, then you can def afford it depending on other expenses. If that's after, save as much as you can for the down payment & you will have a Z of your own in no time. Good Luck & Welcome to the forum!

i took a test today to be licensed to sell life insurance. I've been debating on it. Its not gonna be a 40 hr a week job like chick-fil-a, but the income will be better in the end. I had a chance to get promoted at CFA but the pay just doesn't cut it. I've been debating the insurance thing for awhile. I prayed about it and took action. you guys are pretty legit. Have a good night. And i will still be at chick fil a for awhile. I cant quit cold turkeym the manager is my best friend and i gotta be certain ill mnake money in insurance. If anyone is ever in longview texas, stop by the chick-fil-a on 4th street and the east loop/ ill hook you up :)

:icon17:Is that really all it takes to get in your car....chicken strips!?

I can picture the conversation:

fries= "hellz no!"

chicken nuggets= "gtfo"

chicken strips= "get in"

chicken sandwhich: "you wanna drive?"

I almost wound up going to school in Longview.

BTW-- the insurance stuff isn't for everyone. You won't make nearly as much as they promise you. Don't quit your job at CFA just yet...

fairladyZ34 09-09-2010 04:25 PM

I would suggest you set some goals, save some cash and always look for ways to improve your situation and you'll get your dream car.. If that dont work ,Pimp yourself out..LOL.. Just joking on the last part...

Wow, some of you guys are just plain rude. I know this is the Internet and it's easy to be rude, but the OP was being humble. You guys are acting like owning a $30k car means you're important. Good job, you own something that's expensive as an optioned out Camry.

To the OP, be sure you have a strong base before you spend money on a car. It's a depreciating asset, and mostly for fun. As sad as it sounds fun shouldn't be your first priority. Also, be wary of sales/commission jobs. You won't always make as much as you think.
