She has an SUV, sure. But personally, I couldn't imagine, even with only 1 kid (which we plan on having VERY soon) that anytime the 3 of us need to do anything, we need to use her SUV. She can't drive stick, so that means we'd never be able to switch cars. If she needed to go out of town and I needed to grocery shop with the kid in tow, etc., etc. Just didn't make sense to me. And as I've said, I've always wanted an avalanche. I'm sad about the Z but stoked about the truck at the same time!

You should of got an Infinitiy G37S. Thats what I would of done. :ughdance:

But I hear ya on the having extra room for cargo etc. That is why I still have my 2001 Isuzu Rodeo 4X4 thats paid off. Sure helps having a SUV.

OP,

Something I learned while I was married for six years, is that I will never again in my life sell or get rid of something in order to try and make the wife/gf happy. I had sold guns & related items, a motorcycle, a TIG welder and so on thinking that it would help make the wife happier that I did so, and you know what? It made absolutely no difference in our relationship in the long run.

When a woman bends your arm or suggests that you get rid of your 'man toys', she's trying to establish some kind of dominance or control over your you. In a way she's castrating you a little bit at a time everytime you get rid of one of your man toys.

This was a family decision, though... not a "appease the wife" decision.

GTLAW 08-15-2010 03:52 PM

So wait you ended your 7 year relationship and got 09 370z NISMO!! Then you get back together with her and you sale you 370z. EPIC Fail!

You say that she already had SUV? so why drive two SUVS for one or 2 kids? Sounds like she made you sale your 370z and she was going to not get back with you..

Woman that do that kind of **** need to left alone.

I can see through all the BS just be real man, you got that truck because she made you!

Just be REAL!

Wow you guys are ridiculous. He's explained his situation very clearly and you are just selectively reading and jumping to ridiculous conclusions. :shakes head:

:iagree:

I don't think I can say it any more clearly, my wife wanted me to keep the Z and is upset that my ultimate decision was to trade it in.

I now have a vehicle that can handle everything I plan on throwing at it for the next 10 years, multiple kids and possible a move back up to the Northeast (NOVA).

I couldn't be happier!
