I respectfully disagree with you. The 370Z is already compact enough, I mean like somebody here posted it's already shorter than the 300ZX, and wider, wider is always better. 
It's smaller and lighter than the 350Z. The 370Z parked next to a GT-R for example, makes the Z look like a baby.
There is enough room inside the 370Z to be comfortable with it's small and wide shape, if you want more compact you should have gotten an S2000 or Miata. Those cars fit very snug, but I like some breathing room when I spend time in my cars.
