:iagree:

I don't think repainting your new car is a really good idea.

sonic370 08-08-2010 05:11 PM

i wouldn't repaint. i'm no expert but you would never get the return back on your money unless you plan on keeping it for a long time.

flame on guys but i think monterey blue looks better.

A good paint job will run probably around 6k. I got quoted $3600 when I was thinking about painting mine pearl white...and that was leaving the hood, hatch, and roof black. I'm again thinking about doing it...

I think that will take away from the Zs lines as you will try to concentrate on the the two tone instead.

Repairing a few things of the really bad things and adding a clearbra is a better idea.

Zsteve 08-08-2010 08:13 PM

say no to the clear bra, on the car atleast. On .............. yea.

I have a black Z and I've given up trying to keep the paint looking nice, it's apparent as we all know that Nissan's paint is on pair with Maaco.

Instead of trying to fix all the spots and what not, I have decided I'm going to paint the car.

I love Daytona Blue, how do you think it would look and what would a good paint job cost? I'm guessing at least $3500

Hey that's my car!

Love Daytona Blue. Ordered that car in August 2002 after only seeing a small paint sample. Best color on the 350Z.

BTW here is what it looks like today.

Since the car is black, I would go with charcoal gray. That way you don't have to paint to engine bay and might get away with some other spots and save some money.

I debate that statement.... :D

decided not to paint it, I figure if I keep the 370Z and hang on to it, I will prob do it down the road. I just hate the quality paint Nissan used, I didn't have this issue with my 350Z and my 300ZX paint looked better at 13 years old. Guess you can't win them all.

you can still get it repainted the same color and have it done show room quality for alot less than repainting it a new color. I had my front bumper repainted when it was hit by road debrie and it looked and felt way better than factory paint.

^ that's what I'm thinking

ZPirate, beautiful car

I remember driving to community college back in Fall 02 and I pulled into a store to grab breakfast and I saw my first DB 350Z and was in total awe...memory replays in my head as clear as the day I saw it. I should have just bought one instead I bought a RSX-S not realizing that the base Z was a couple $1000 more at best.
