driving manual hard

I'm a newb to manual....

Is it ok to constantly switch gears at nearly redline on each gear?

I love speed!

Also, is it ok to cruise on the highway on 3rd or 4th gear the whole time???
i dont care for fuel economy... i just want to rag the hell out of my nismo but not harm the engine...

My nismo is a month old and has 3000 miles already!

You need to highway drive in 6th and there is no need to redline when driving normally. You are putting unnecessary additional miles on the motor by doing so...........!

i don't see the point in cruising where ever i go... if i wanted to do that i would have gotten a caddy....

that's just how i roll...

just curious in how to drive a manual...
such as how to drive it normal???
and how do you drive it fast all the time???

If you want to drag every where and beat the hell out of the engine then redline is good. I dont know why you would want to cruise in 4th gear.

I say redline it and stay in 3rd for the most power and speed. Then when it blows up we have one less Z killer on the road.

i like the immediate response when i punch the pedal without having to shift from 6th to 3rd or 4th....

Lower RPM = lower revolutions per minute = lower engine use per unit time = lower wear on engine

Don't ride around at high RPMs if you plan to keep the car.

You might want to check your oil.
