I was at a Z meet and CTZN showed up with his new 370Z and was gracious enough to give me a ride when we all went attacking some twisty roads. Wow, wow, wow. I love my SS but man, you cant argue with 21 years of progress.
The synchro rev match is incredibly impressive just to watch. And I couldnt even feel it when he was downshifting. the 5 years of effort Nissan put into it paid off.
The ride is fine (and we were on some BUMPY roads). In fact, the car felt more compliant then my roommates new G37S coupe.
It was not very noisy either. We were able to hold a conversation with eachother even when pebbles were pelting the wheel wells and blasting from corner to corner.

Anyone who thinks the 370Z is to hardcore needs to go buy a caddy or take a ride in my Z (with poly bushings, bilstein shocks, SS springs, and old tech suspension).

I knew I wanted one before just becuase the styling is 1000x better then the 350Z, but now that I have a taste of what it can do i just need to roll up my sleeves, buy some Ramen noodles (for 3 or 4 years) and save my pennies. scuse me, I have to start looking under the couch cushions for loose change

The pleasure was mine, I am glad you had fun on the cruise in my car. Made the ride more enjoyable with another person.

I was very pleased with how the car handled as well, it ate those pretty intense roads with relative ease for the most part. Nissan really nailed the stock suspension and brakes on this car, I would have definitely been nervous in my 350 in the same roads.

I look forward to doing it again at some point. Keep the Shiro and add a 370 to start your collection, next cruise I will ride with you

A 370 would feel like a Rolls Royce to you, I am pretty sure

Cown3d, you'd never know it's on... It'd be too smooth at idle. You'd have to check the Tach! LOL

Thanks man. Lots of blood, sweat, and tears went into that Z. Hell, even GETTING that Z. I found her sitting on the street outside a bar. The bar owner had bought her brand new back in 88 and used her as a weekend toy. Thus embarked on a 2 year project to get him to sell it to me. That involved me stopping in every so often to make sure he still had it and to make sure I would be the first he called. I get a call out of the blue one day 4-5 years ago saying come get it. And I did the very next night. Ive redone the suspension, fixed a few teeny tiny cosmetic items (the car is mostly mint), and just put in a sound system. Im done. Enjoy her for a few more years then buy her a big sister (370Z).

In the meantime.....CTZN, when the weather gets a bit better lets take our Zs to Treasure Island and/or Fort Point or something and get some nice wallpaper material!
