1.)How many points do you have already?
2.)Are you eligible to pay off tickets without any points?
3.)You're not as screwed as you think you are... Just get ready to pay 500+
Gotta pay to play, sucks you got caught...
Get a V1!

I like the passport myself, but regardless, I agree on getting yourself a good fuzz buster. The thing only has to work once to pay for itself.

My tints came with a sticker from the installer stating they are legal but dont know how far that would work if I was ticketed for it. Sometimes you gotta pay to play. And at a fairly young age ins is going to go way up. Good luck.

When the cop hands you four tickets, just say 'no thank you'. Then make a snide comment about his trooper hat, spit on his aviator glasses and whack him with your door.

That way, we'll have one less reckless driver on the streets doing 97mph. Drive the speed limit and sign up for a track day.

Get a copy of the receipt for the tint purchase showing what tints you ordered.

Give it to the lawyer.

What's the point?

HOW DARK CAN WINDOW TINT BE IN NEW YORK?
Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). In New York, this percentage refers to percentage of visible light allowed in through the combination of film and the window.
• Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 6 inches of the windshield.
• Front Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in. (or 30% total tint)
• Back Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in.
• Rear Window Any darkness can be used.

It's a light transmission number which includes the factory tint (yeah we have some)

Even a 25% tint film (and NOBODY here goes that light) could be illegal when combined with the factory tint (which is usually around 10%)

YOu can even see it, though it's light like most factory tints:

I'm guessing it has more with the state being broke than a power trip

My point is that if you ordered a legal tint but they gave you something illegal then the shop could be held accountable for hte screw up...

Yeah the state doesn't give a ****, he's ******.. they tested him and he failed.. but if he ordered legal tints and they didn't give him legal tints then that's some shady ****..

Then again.. if someone wasn't doing 97 on 495 in NC which is known for having stricter cops than than SC.. this wouldn't be a topic on a forum..

at least i have some reading material tonight..:stirthepot:
