You have to have tough skin around here, about half of the people on this forum already have a opinion in their heads so no matter what you post it does not really matter.

They use normal regular toilets in Germany. I think his comment was more along the lines of a german broad would pretend that your chest is a pit and poop on you, like many scenes in kinky german pornos.

I was pretty nervous that I'd be the only one under 50, and I'd be surrounded by a group of old guys with fanny packs and leather driving gloves.

You know what's crazy?!
I met this kid at a local dunkin donuts and he has a G37x fully loaded.
He's a senior in high school...
O_o;;

370zlove3 07-06-2010 04:48 PM

Pretty much what Jeffblue said.

Anyway, I laugh at those who think that the youngins who own good and fast cars are immediately labeled spoiled. Really? Ever stop for a min and think maybe they would pay their parents later?

All these college students owning 370Z do nothing to me. I know here in my uni, there are students who drive around Nissan GTRs and Lambos.
As long as the students don't regret their choice of cars and that his/her parents are happy that their kids are enjoying life while doing excellent in school then it is good.

Jesse_Hunter 07-06-2010 04:54 PM

kids who drive 370z, g37, spoiled? pssssh

I know a college girl who drives THIS........

For real, my car was directly tied to how I did in University. They want good grades, I liked the z. So it all worked out in the end.

The nicest friend I have gets a new porsche every 2 years or so, and he is seriously the nicest guy I have ever met. Goes to show you just because your parents buy you stuff does not mean a single thing.

It just means he is a nice guy that gets it all for free. If I had it all free Id be nice too. Can his parents adopt me?

hah I asked his dad the same question. A lot of people in here over estimate what a piece of metal can do for your life. Not to much, in the end its a car, and there is many things that are more important. He has been nice since we were in elementary school he just has a lot of cool toys now ahah

sonic370 07-06-2010 07:18 PM

Just enjoy the dang car for what it is. Some have said its a nissan like its a dirty word.IMHO best car in its class for the money spent hands down.
No its not a corvette or bmw but i saved 20 grand.

ps if this had come up over on the 350 board the poor guy would be flamed bad.

LunaZ 07-06-2010 09:15 PM

I too, have experienced the pit toilet scene in Asia.
I was also given a car when I reached driving age. It was a used 1978 Dodge Diplomat.
I'm 40, so at the time, that wasn't all that bad of a free car. As soon as I had income, I replaced it with a Toyota FX-16 GT-S which caused me a lot of financial strain as I went away to college. About two years later, I fell behind and got it repo'ed. That was the beginning of being poor, in debt and with bad credit through my 20's.
I could tell the OP or other young Z owners that they're heading down this path, but I don't.

One thing I've noticed here on this forum, having migrated from a Mazdaspeed3 community, is that the broadcast age range of the forum members here is much older. By broadcast age, I mean the preachy, crotchety old fuddy-duddy-ism that seems to come out of responders of any age on threads like this or others where the OP is foolish enough to show a little youthful naivete.
Instead of criticizing the young, why don't we guide them and help them. I'm not talking about a good old fashioned "when I was your age" lecture either... because we all know how well that worked on us, right?
Eventually, we'll pass and the Z fan torch will have to be carried by the next generation. Let's set them up for success with helpful advice and positive reinforcement.

08g37 07-06-2010 10:41 PM

lol its 35k car relax dude no ones jelouse its not a 250k lambo

NewlyIMPORTed 07-06-2010 11:49 PM

you think that girl is spoiled? lol i know a kid who has had two lambo because he totaled one he at this moment owns a white r8 a c63 amg supercharged H2 g37s and is about to get an lp640 and he is a complete *** hole

gnarf 07-07-2010 12:54 AM

^^LOL he also has a plane, helicopter and his own arnold schwarzenegger..just so he can say "Get to the Choppa!!!"

i was 19 when i got my g..hell yes im spoiled and i dont care..but the G is sorta modest compared to the Lambo's, BMW M's, and a very special SLS AMG in my complex..

KingZee 07-07-2010 01:34 AM

You guys going nuts over young kids driving nice cars...stay away from Los Angeles, you might shoot yourself.

Why would anyone care anyway? Rich parents buy their kids nice things. Good kids from good parents and a good upbringing know to appreciate them and grow up to be decent human beings. Bad kids from bad parents grow up to be spoiled ***holes. If you look closely at life, most of it is like this and the ones talking **** are usually just jealous.

:tiphat:

MBLAQ 07-07-2010 01:53 AM

back to my original post.
thanks for all the inputs, but my parents didnt buy the zed for me, i didnt get finance.
its just all my savings since birth.
just to tell you guys my background.
ive graduated, single, fulltime worker, pays rent, bills etc on my own. my rental apartment has a river view. im not a show off , i just like to have the good things in life. whats the point or working and saving if you dont enjoy spending money.
and thats where the problem comes in, i dont really save much now as i bought the car in cash. so most of my friends are all living with their parents still and still catch the public transport to work/uni etc. and everytime i catch up with them they seem to be really distant. (probably of all the things i bought and my lifestyle). basically things i own, have somehow changed to way they see me. at 21 i think anything expensive seems like im spoilt or cocky. but im not either. i just work a lot and spend a lot.

Just when I was starting to lose faith in humanity you came by and posted in here. Thank god for that.

shoopajae10 07-07-2010 10:11 AM

Im an attention whore.. thats why i bought the Z. =)

red6spd 07-07-2010 10:24 AM

I love when people come over and ask me about my Z. I even had a really young kid in his teens with a late model 350 ask me if he could stick his head in the window and look at the difference between the two. I also find myself in the "did your mom buy that for you" category. I think people just get mad when they see a really young person (I'm 23) in a car like this. I dont make a million dollars a year but I worked hard for my Z.
