berk makes more powah or something? invidia sounds great... but nowhere near the greatness of my Fujimura muffler though. :yum: :icon17:

Why don't you like the berk?

Not that I don't like it, they're just very overpriced IMO. They add weight, and the power is about the same as the Gemini.

Nick911sc 08-16-2011 09:39 AM

I'm not really paying much more than the invidia for it? How much are you assuming the berk goes for?

New they're over a grand, used usually 7-800.

Sweet!

I am still up in the air. I like the look performance of the FI style but like the numbers and the sound of the Gemini too... Berk is definately a frontrunner as well.

I'm thinking of possibly hooking up some recording equipment to record the exhaust. lol not sure how an sm57 will work out with an exhaust though

Nick, Berks are nice..... but for me, it looks a little too much like stock. For some folks that's a good thing. For me, I wanted something that looked a little flashier than stock, but not overly flashy like F.I. or those other ones with individual cans (ala Ark and HKS and F.I.).

Also, what swayed me away from Berk was the price.... I can't tell you how much I paid for my Invidia, but let's just say I got it for wayyyyyyy under what most folks pay for it here ;)

And lastly, I read a few posts from some folks about the quality issues with Berk, as well as long lead times, and poor customer service. No such issues with Invidia. In fact, buddy of mine has a G37X, and he is working with the owner to get the first ever invidia exhaust made for him, at no cost... FREE. Very cool guys.

So if it's not too late, cancel your order and go with Invidia... ;) (I keed).

Beach.... Invidida FTW. Only way to go. Hands down the BEST feature on my Z. Did you see my post about my morning yesterday? How I listened to my exhaust in symphony??? hehe...

lol, you'll probably pickup too much wind noise if you're driving with it.

how about just using a small SD recorder mounted on your manfrotto tripod and just free rev? :) then edit the audio later on your computer.

wow, beginning to sound like DAW thread instead of DSLR. :rofl2:

This is why I love this forum. Everyone has different setups and loves their cars to death! Uniqueness ftw

I have been looking for a remote mic for my Canon HF20 for the same reason. I have a suction mount for the windshield but want the mic somewhere else...

Love the new exhaust sound thread...:driving:
