Heck dealer (I shudder when I say that) even. I am just curious... maybe you guys know something I need to know.

it really depends on the tech doing the alignment and how well the machine is caliberated. often times i only go to alignment shops by word of mouth of other car guys getting similar cars aligned.

luckily more and more speedshops in my area have alignment equipment since they install coilovers, etc. so they know how to handle my modded cars better than just some guy at some local mechanics shop.

your dealer can do it, but sometimes they will scratch or even wash your car even if you tell them not to. :icon17:

Im sure with the seals this will be a non issue. Im replacing them and the bearings.

SPOHN 08-02-2011 07:12 PM

What type of fluid are you going to run? Pretty sure Quaife has a certain recommendations.

Not sure yet. Any sugestions? I need to order it to be here by sat.

kenchan 08-02-2011 07:15 PM

ouch, :( ...when you use high-end camera and zoom in like that it REALLY points out the damage like 'ouch' becomes an OUCH U MOFO!!!

hope the install goes well. :)

today the kenchan-G got pulled over by a trans-am cop. he said i flew through the corner blowing a red light and was going like 80mph cause he saw me and couldn't catch up. i did zip through the corner, but i know the light was still yellow, i could've went faster through the turn but didn't, wasn't at the top of 2nd so i know i wasn't over the speed limit. so i said in my usual calm courteous voice 'no.'

he checked out my car and gave me back my license with no citation. :p

I'll have to search. OS Giken has there own fluid (80w- 250)so it was easy for me.

EDIT: From everything I see everyone is using Motul 300 75w-90. I think you need two bottles also. You will have to confirm that. Your lucky, my fluid cost alot more.

Wow, was that drop shipped (no pun intended) from somewhere else. I have never gotten anything from Z1 that was poorly packed.

Probably was drop shipped.Should of been put in another box with more bubble wrap. These shipping companies are getting bad.

Nitex 08-02-2011 08:13 PM

Ken! That cop is lucky you didnt have to lay the smack down :owned:

yes, literally "drop" shipped right? Geez... Thing is it went to Z1 first.

Thanks for the research on the fluid spohn!

Yeah I have a Honda Civic for those duties, but I still take the Z with me when I go on a date with the wifey.... Friday nights usually. Otherwise, she never gets to ride in it. So I figure, it's worth the risk to take the wife out in it. So much fun. She loves riding in it. Besides, she's the one who "let" me buy it.... must take her in it :D I just have to be very smart and careful about where I drive/park it. The clear bra REALLY helps lower my tension and worry and apprehension hehe....

Yup, clear bras have a way of helping to release tension and worry! Oh...wait....

Hahaha!! I had forgotten about the dealer washing my car! You've had that happen too haven't you Kensan?

Did he ask you if you knew you had performed said infraction (hence the response), or did you just say "no" to the accusation?

Anyways, glad you were not cited a citation!

This does not happen (that I've heard) with the Stillen Gen 3 design because it sits so high.

Anyways, good luck with your decision. Hopefully this was helpful.

yes it is very helpful thank you :ughdance:
