hummm... are the springs rubbing against the spring carrier or something? would it help to turn the spring by quarter of a turn or not? ive noticed on some cars the spring rubs the carrier if not oriented a certain way.

I haven't noticed any noises or clunking since I installed mine. I believe I twisted mine into the pocket to ensure they were seated but it has been a while. Definately no hatch rattles... :tiphat:

Hmmm...
Heeeyyyyy, wait a minute! :rofl2:

I'll take another look at the spring orientation, but I was pretty OCD about making sure everything was lined up.
It's sort of a hollow, flat sounding thud on sharp bumps.

luna- is it coming from both sides?

also check the torque of your spare tire clamp. :D

im thinking about making some plate covers for photoshoots using leftover DiNoc. :p i'd be just some sheet plastic or poster board wrapped in DiNoc with magnet strips to attach to the plate frame. :)

this way i can just crop or resize and post and no need to chop the plates out. much faster for me.

I never really understood why people blur or black out their plates in pics. I could personally care less if everyone sees my plate, not like its my social security # or anything.

FromG2Z 07-20-2011 08:49 AM

^ hi alchemy.... I think most folks blur it out because I believe there's a way to obtain personal info (name, address, etc) just by your personal plates. Then again, to your point, anybody who physically SEES your plates in person driving around can get your info then ;)
