yah, i would never want to park my hobby car near a beach. not only for sand getting all over inside and out and in the nooks, but the salt. :ugh2:

last thing i need is my Z to smell like dead rotten fish too. :icon14:

one thing to watch out though.... miguiars soft blue was too firm and swirled my Z's finish. I recommend using the super soft *****'* clay. Its a yellow super soft mud like clay that does not haze the Z's finish. Use disposable gloves when u handle it.

Paint Cleaning Clay - Griot's Garage

Thanks - I used whatever clay came with the Meguiar's $40 starter kit from Amazon. Did this after using Optimum No Rinse. The clay is white and two bars came in a black plastic container. Individually wrapped. I used tons of Meguiar's Ultra Quik detailer and an orange microfiber from some brand from Target to wipe off :shakes head: - but no swirls. The one awesome microfiber I got in the Meguiar's kit was used up during the wash. I'll post some pics tomorrow maybe. They are on my Facebook already, you guys can friend me.

EazyD- as long as u don't wipe dry and forcefully your hazing should be at a minimum using target towels.

Most terry towels sold today are just as bad. Good MF towels are worth the investment if you're serious about detailing but for most folks its overkill. :)

I didn't mention this yesterday, but I came out of the house to see my wife washing her Xterra with my MF cloths (including the wheels and tires)! D'oh!

Time to get some new ones and keep 'em separated (insert obligatory Offspring tune here).

Ouch! :D I suppose if you wash it well you're fine. I use a few oz of this stuff called Microfiber Cleaner by you know who during each wash. I use detergent + this stuff.

Keeps the towels plush. I hang dry only.

Hey guys thanks for the rear set up tip, probably go with toe in at 0.08 degrees to start with, it's at the far end of factory toe specs.

Am I ok with leaving the fronts at zero toe?
