But, add a capacitance sensor (think touch lamp circuit) to the emblem and wire it to the alarm system. One touch of a hand or metal device will trigger the alarm.... simple!! |

I'm suggesting that a couple hundred bucks for hood ornaments is expensive. He could make these out of gold, and they might be valued in the thousands and sought out by rare art collectors, but again, these are hood ornaments :icon14: I'm sure someone will buy them, and probably a spare set too. I think this is a great project, but given a choice between putting my lunch money towards lunch or hood ornaments, I'll take lunch :icon17: |
wheee- sounds like you got the right setup and now "qualify" for purchase. :D hahaha.

:icon17: I certainly am interested in the final product! Would love to set one up with the capacitance circuit too, then post a DIY.

I won't speculate on price. When he is done and adds up his exspences and values his time and effort, he will offer them to us at a price. We will then except the price or not. As with all product, the most exspensive it item the smaller the customer base is. And he already stated that he does want to make a lot of these.
